So the Koopalings are alternate costumes for Bowser Jr. but Dr. Mario and Dark Pit are both their own separate characters.
...
That does not sit well with me.

But Dr. Mario and Dark Pit are entirely separate from Mario and Pit.

I dunno much about Pit since I don't play him, so I wouldn't know exactly what to ideally consolidate from both himself and Dark Pit into one character, but I can say for Dr. Mario that he ideally does not deserve to be his own character; they should've just given regular Mario the Mario Tornado and his old aerial down-A again (or at least the former reimagined as a FLUDD-based alternate B-Down) because pretty much nobody likes FLUDD, myself included; it's literally the only reason I'm actually a bit excited for Dr. Mario and not 100% pissed.

Best we can hope for, unless this has already been deconfirmed, is if Dr. Mario and Dark Pit have different alternate Specials from Mario/Pit; but seeing how things are going so far, of course fucking not. (Same for Ganondorf/Cap'n Falcon)

As for Magicant, it's an incredible addition of a stage, but I'm curious if that's the only Mother/EB stage in the 3DS version. It also makes you think what Mother stage they'll pull out for the WiiU version. Devil's Machine pls

PS: it was discussed before that Sakurai has a bit of a bias for Kid Icarus: Uprising in terms of overall representation, justifying that KI:U was Sakurai's baby. Well, I think many of us can agree that Dark Pit's finally going too far for Sakurai's KI:U bias.

Just what are Sakurai's priorities when redoing character moves?

I think if the choice went to changing Falco's or ROB's final smash, I would have gone with ROB's as well. His original Final Smash was ridiculous and made absolutely no sense. The Landmaster isn't a BAD Final Smash, it was just oversaturated in Brawl. With only Fox and Falco, I think it is a bit more tolerable.

Also, Ganondorf sword custom move confirmed:

As much as I love Metroid, I'm actually glad that there's no Ridley. Now we won't have to deal with all those Ridley jokes anymore.

Until the next game in the series goes into development, anyway.
I can't be too mad about Dark Pit. He seems like it was super easy to put in and is in the same vein as Melee clones like Doc himself and Pichu. It may be Sakurai bias a bit, but it's also a recent and very good game. It was probably either them or no one (time management and all that)

yeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

Traditional Fuck Dark Pit post from Gwen, yadda yadda, what a lame choice, yadda yadda, shouldn't get his own character slot, yadda yadda.
So the demo for us will be out next week, and select Nintendo Plat numbers get a code and four extras for friends

If anyone has a spare code, I'll love you long time

I would like to point out that most Ridley jokes are at the expense of Ridley and supporters of him being playable. I'm pretty sure not having him playable will just be fuel for more jokes.

No, not really. All of the jokes I see are about him being in SSB4, not about making fun of the people who want him in.
Ah, so more the jokes that talk about him getting in rather than not. Yeah, those will likely peter out soon.

This was recently posted somewhere. There could easily be an explanation for this, but I thought it was an interesting find:

I've got some unredeemed keys from Humble bundles for the following games.

Blocks that Matter
Fly'n
Freddi Fish 1 and 2
Megabyte Punch
and Shank 2.

I'll trade any of em for a code.
