Alright, I can't say either because it's really blurry. It really does look like an "a" but that's an error so dumb I kinda refuse to believe in it.

But, again, can you adress the first leaks at least? I'm going to start sounding like a broken record but I don't fully believe these last ones either because they're from a completely different source

I mean, it's not impossible for someone to create a bunch of in style renders, whip up a convincing CSS, and then get a few lucky guesses on the stages. I'm not saying that's what happened (I'm totally for the leak, especially because of Bowser Jr, Duck Hunt Dog, and Doc) but someone spending time and making this isn't outside of the realms of possibility. There are a lot of talented people out there

Well the next time Sakurai adds a character to the site, we'll know the truth from the character art.

So

- Somebody did a bunch of in-style renders (like, a WHOLE bunch of convincing renders)
- Whipped up a convincing CSS
- Added a bunch of rarely known details and flaws (like the thick line)
- Took out names and put clones in a weird place, instead of favoring a more safe bet leak despite all his above hard work
- Predicted Famitsu article with image of Tomodachi Life

Actually...

Obvious fanart, look at his clothes. His hair and stetoscope don't even match. There's an existing render like this with this "similar" pose, which is regular mario. Yes that could be worked on photoshop, I'll give you that, but it's the only one odd out

This is the one I see a lot and most than proves people will just see what they want. They're not even similar on a basic shape level, much less when overlaying them like that. And what about his clothes?

1. Bowser Jr. with according to other leaked details, every other Koopaling is an alternate skin. Sounds like a lot of extra work just for one character, and doesn't sound like something Nintendo would do.
2. Duck Hunt Dog. 'Nuff said.
3. Dr. Mario being a separate character when they could just as easily make him an alternate skin for Mario this time -- he doesn't follow the ruling that Lucina did because he's the same character.
4. Dark Pit. I thought Sakurai said he was trying to steer away from clones, and this is the most obvious one. It's the whole PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Cole MacGrath situation all over again! (EDIT: Never mind, it's fan speculation.)
5. I knew something about Shulk's face looked off -- SchAlternate's post points out that it's pretty similar to Little Mac's, which means it could be a photoshopped render.

Oh come on Mutsukki, if anyone looks like they're wanting something to be true/untrue it's you. The Shulk/Little Mac example is pretty convincing. The face shape is only slightly different, and for somebody experience probably isn't that hard to change. Everything else is almost identical in placement. You keep acting like people wouldn't spend this much time to trick people when plenty of people are that big of jack offs and have the skill to do this sort of stuff..

I would love for most of this to be true, Shulk and Baby Bowser, but I'm not trusting any of this. If it turns out I'm wrong and these are legitimate, radical, I welcome most of these (Except Duck Hunt Dog, what the fuck is that horse hit?)

3. Dr. Mario was a rep once, it feels like he would be like Melee Mario, having Mario Tornado back instead of FLUDD
4. I don't think Sakurai ever, ever said that. People used to speculate that about Brawl and look how many clones that game had. Besides, the inclusion of Dark Pit at the end of the Palutena trailer surely backs his inclusion
5. That's because this game has an art direction. I bet you could do the same to Little Mac and Robin. It's not like Playstation All-Star battle where models are ripped from their own games

Farfetched, but there's a chance of it happening. An extremely unlikely chance (that I personally don't really believe at the moment) but still a chance none the less.

Regarding the Lil Mac/Shulk deal, the only part that really matches up are the eyes. The jaw line is different, the nose is different, the mouth is different, etc etc. I mean they're similar, but they're two hunched over dudes looking at a 3/4 perspective. There's more differences than similarities.

Same goes for Doc. The face is different, the head is different, the hair is different, the shoulders and the arms are different, the stethoscope is different, and so is the coat. The only similar thing is the pose, and a similar pose to one piece of fan art out of a million isn't exactly damning.

Same goes for Junior. His muzzle is different, his face is different, his shell is different, and his overall positioning. I mean both are hunched over, but that's kind of a regular pose for Bowser Jr

Can anyone seriously tell me why they hate the Duck Hunt Dog being a playable character other than "he annoyed me in duck hunt" (because that seems petty anyways)? I honestly thought it was a pretty cool "retro" surprise character (if it turns out to be true), so if anything I'd be a bit disappointed if he isn't actually in the game... well, I wouldn't be if Ridley were in it instead, but that'll forever be a pipe dream, won't it?

Of course some people would. However this is beyond that, honestly. I'm not wanting anything, it's just there's no single convincing argument against the leaks aside from "I Don't Want This" "Sakurai Would Never Do That" "This Render Is Very Slightly Similar Maybe It's Photoshop"

As much as there's a chance of someone from ESRB leaking this for some friends and things getting out of control, which I believe is the case

Because he is literally useless. I love seeing him in Duck Hunt but what the fuck is he doing in Smash? SO many other characters that would be a better fit than him, including many other "Retro" characters.


Also Mutsukki, you're literally reducing good arguments that you don't necessarily agree with to a pretty mocking attitude. There are very notable similarities with some of these models to pointed out, and just because you think it's coincidental doesn't really make the argument unconvincing.

Again, some people are more than capable of making fake renders of this caliber these days. Not every Photoshop edit is a blatantly crappy one.
