Uhm, pretty sure I said I'd get over it if it were true. I may not like the idea of Duck Hunt Dog being a character, but in the big scheme, it'd be one character out of 50 some right? and I can just shun him to the attic and ignore him.

Guess this was indeed true. Either that or a group of dudes that put insane amounts of effort put together, be it in animation, modeling, photoshopping, or even Brawl hacking, just to pull a stunt on the community.

I do know it smells like straw grasping, but hey, there are people crazy enough to do that.

Either way, kinda bummed out that, Shulk aside, the rest of the newcomers are rather lackluster. I mean, Bowser Jr is a pretty cool idea I guess, but why DHD? Why Dark Pit? Why motherfucking Dr Mario? And why cut Wolf or Lucas or the IC's? And not bring back Mewtwo? Or add Ridley?

Oh well, I can hope there are unlockables we've yet to see. There are plenty of empty spaces, after all.

(Still on the stance that some decisions were weird, like the lack of names, or the weird line, or whatever)

Yeah, I just don't get why Dr. Mario and Dark Link would get separate character slots, unless their differences how they play are akin to characters like Lucina and Ganon who are move set clones, but still play noticeably differently. If they don't I'd find it curious why they'd get their own slot but baby bowser's alts would be all the koopalings, who I can't imagine would all play the same except to save time and effort.

EDIT: I get that people really like Dr. Mario, but he does not deserve his own slot for what amounts to cosmetic changes(unless they majorly reworked him, which I would find a bit silly.) They've shown off a lot of characters that turned out to be assist trophies that I would have much rather had as characters as opposed to the majority of these supposed new ones.

There are heavy implications that suggest that this isn't the full roster, plus the leaker himself said that it wasn't. Only time will tell if either side of this is true or not...

Also not sure if you guys remember but awhile back Sakurai said if he were to show every final smash it would take months, so that means the roster must have more than 50 fighters on it.

Hey, if Toon Ganondorf gets to use those sweet swords for his attacks, then I'll forgive the development team if this leak is true.

I actually like the idea of Shulk being playable, because it's a good way to tie in with the upcoming release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

I see what you mean, Mystie.

Besides the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of Xenoblade, the other reason why I am not sure about Shulk in the game is due to how I think the game he came from isn't exactly one of Nintendo's IPs. Sure, I know that Snake, Sonic, Megaman, and Pac-Man aren't really Nintendo's IPs either, but they are special cases.
