Ganondorf gets a new moveset that he deserves, Ganondorf Fans are happy.
Black Shadow gets the old moveset that people have grown to love, those fans are happy.

Yo, Ark. Real talk here. If you would stop being Overreaction: The Member for a second, you'll realize that competitive play is an important and appreciated aspect of the game that some people like to talk about sometimes. Chill out and let discussions be discussions without trying to completely eliminate a significant side that you happen to disagree with.
I am interested in these two separate Ganondorfs though, the ones that apparently play exclusively competitive or casual. Does competitive Ganondorf happen to have a better neutral?
Toss a warn on me, because it's Iceman's condescending tone that I disagree with. Discussing the competitive nature of the game isn't the problem, even if the discussion didn't involve competitive elements at all.
I may have overreacted, but you can't blame that Iceman's tone was quite condescending toward literally everyone in the thread. Especially when most of the thread really doesn't give a shit about the competitive elements of Smash Bros.
As much as I agree that Ark Kuvis overreacted (use the report function, please!), I must admit that I agree with his annoyance over Iceman's REALLY FUCKING GRATING condescending posts about everything that even remotely mentions Smash.

I'll apologize in this thread for being aggressive and overreacting, I really didn't want to be agro. But Iceman's posts really did seem condescending, and if they weren't I'm really sorry for even starting this. But it's clearly not just me realizing this, so I mean who fucking knows.
I don't think Smash 4 Ganondorf wasn't even being criticized for having bad neutral game, it was more or less how his moveset really didn't FEEL like Ganondorf. Which, I can see both sides. I feel like his moveset, cloneish or not, definitely feels like an intimidating BEING of power. And fits the character well. I also like how Project M handled the character too!!!!!!

Erm yeah. So here's a thought. Would you guys be okay with Lucina, Dark Pit, and Dr. Mario being alts like Alph in the next game? That's what they were supposed to be and I feel like that's what they should be.

Yes on Dark Pit and Dr. Mario. Also "yes" for Lucina, unless they give her a more differing playstyle (as in, even more different than Roy is from Marth).
That said, however, if the Doc is made a Mario alt, one of Mario's Down-B customs
needs to be the Tornado (and maybe change Mario's down-air to be more like the Galaxy Spin, but without the boost, as a compromise between the newer Tornado-style dAir and his Melee-style dAir). Yes, I know people like FLUDD, but give us nostalgia grumps the option, dangit!
the problem with dark pit is that his final smash has to be the same as pit's final smash. pit gets the three sacred treasures, but dark pit doesnt. thats even the whole reason as to why sakurai made him a clone. i wish he was an alt, but there were problems with him being a alt, so they made him a clone, which doesnt bother me all that much. more options for others.
lucina has no excuse whatsoever to be a clone. i just looked up the reason on smash wiki and
"Lucina was originally planned as an alternate costume for Marth, but was given her own character slot later in development due to "'the characteristics of their attacks' being different."

dr mario should be kept as a clone though. he's different enough from mario to have the clone slot, so i'd keep him the way he is. i mean sure, they can change up some moves to make him a semi-clone, but aside from that, i have no problem with him being a clone.
