Speaking of Delfino Plaza, Are they going to put the Grand Pianta Statue in the background?

You're coming to the wrong place if you believe that community members, who most likely do not work for nintendo or namco have answers for these kinds of questions.

Personally, I wish that Sakurai retracts what he said about both games having the same roster and adds more characters to the Wii-U version. Don't get me wrong, I like the 3DS version as it's own entity but there could still be alot more done on a home console.

He initially said pac man wasn't going to be in, but he got in anyways. I think that there's a glimmer of hope that makes me believe the guys at nintendo, sora LTD and namco bandai will expand the roster for it.
Okay
Where is this Bandana Dee stuff coming from? O-o

Dude, quit overreacting to things as small as this.  You're always freaking out as if Sakurai has some bizarre rancor-fueled vendetta against the DK series and only the DK series whenever something new from that series isn't shown.

At least wait 'til they've shown everything about the Wii U version before you and the rest of the DK fandom go apeshit like this.  Just chill.

THANK YOU.

Koopaul, I like you and all, but you really need to calm down. Just because one franchise gets something doesn't mean that another franchise is being neglected.

LilotheStitch, please avoid one word replies. Only reply if you really have something important to say in a discussion.

This is a verbal warning, so don't do this again.

Also Koopaul, you're ridiculous. Anything is 'Donkey Kong this' and 'Donkey Kong that'. Shut up, Sakurai doesn't owe anything to anyone except making the game, there isn't some magical 'IP balancing app' that automatically divides the numbers of references between Nintendo franchises. As harsh as this sounds, Sakurai doesn't need to represent a franchise more than the other just because the other got a stage, or a song. The game is his anyway.
(10-06-2014, 05:51 AM)MrYoshbert Wrote: [ -> ]Actually, as of Triple Deluxe, Bandana Dee (or at least, Bandana Waddle Dee) is now his official name.  They openly refer to him as such on the official site, and when you first meet him in-game.

Well, I'll be. I had to start a new game in Triple Deluxe to confirm this, but it definitely does say Bandana Waddle Dee. It's still not "Bandana Dee" but I could see the person just not remembering the whole awkward line.

I guess there's not really anything working against this leak then, aside from how incredibly stupid this person is being putting their own and their friend's jobs on the line. Still, idiocy aside, I really really hope this one is true.

Hey Koopaul, I also think it's ridiculous that you're passionate about the DK franchise and upset about an apparent lack of representation in SSB4. There, am I cool yet?
It is not matter of insulting for the sake of looking cool. It is pointing out that it is almost sick to be so hellbent on getting offended by game design choices, as if they were carefully crafted to insult you all the time. Really, what is the point of this?

Gors out.
We have a release date(s), guys!

The Wii U version's coming out on November 21st in America (gotta capitalize on Black Friday, yo), December 5th in Europe, and December 8th in Japan.
Wait

we get this BEFORE Japan??

Considering the track record's usually Japan before everyone, I'm kind of shocked.

Too bad I won't be able to grab a Wii U until ~Christmas, so darn Sad
Japan got the 3DS version first, I think it's fair.

So, like I said, same day as Alpha Ruby and Omega Sapphire. Two big releases on the same day, damn!
Clearly they are pushing for the NA black friday sales.

Honestly releasing it any later than that in NA would be foolish on their part for that very reason.
I like how the announcement of a release date actually makes me want the game more than "Winter 2014"

Devil's advocate here; Sakurai as producer does tend to exercise prejudice in these games, slanting in favor of his own characters.  It was pretty obvious in Brawl... Meta Knight. Blank

It's a little better in this game and it's definitely been toned down - although Dark Pit didn't really have to exist, lol

...actually, not really defending Koopaul here, just pointing that out.
Dark Pit was actually requested by a lot of japanese people afaik, it's apparently a really popular character there. I'ts kinda like Japan's Little Mac in terms of popularity
Regardless of whether that's happening or not, I honestly don't see why people are making so much of a big deal over the guy who made the series in the first place and has overseen the development of all the titles in the series wanting to include more stuff from other games he directly worked on/created and that have a lot of fan pull over series that are less popular.

Like, I realize that having a well-rounded cast is important but despite the fact that Donkey Kong was one of the first Nintendo games, do you really think it's going to have priority over things like Mario, Kirby, or Zelda? Not to mention the fact that the majority of DK fans are fans of the original DKC games (which Nintendo didn't even make (and considering the issues with Rare and licensing characters and stuff from that IP, they likely don't care about anymore)) despite DKCR and Tropical Freeze, it's kind of obvious why DK isn't getting as high of a priority.

I realize you (and some others) love DK, but it's quite simply just good business sense for Nintendo to make content that caters to much bigger audiences of much bigger franchises, because in the grand scheme of things, nobody really cares that much about Donkey Kong.

edit- Pointing out the bold/underlined part above again, Sakurai made Smash Bros. It's basically Nintendo's biggest property now and is guaranteed to print ridiculous amounts of money no matter what. Sakurai directly caused Nintendo to make LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY. Do you really think that Nintendo isn't going to let that person have a lot of leeway and do what he wants?
