You know, considering how many fake screen shots for upcoming games I've seen throughout my life, I'm tempted to make one myself just for laughs.

So it looks like the 3DS' Classic Mode consists of only five stages plus a boss.

I feel like they're missing a great opportunity to include another feature from a Sakurai game here. Have any of you guys ever played Meteos? In that game there was a mode that had branching paths similar to this, but with each stage you were given a mission objective to complete, and if you failed the objective then one of the branches was removed as an option.

I think that would make an interesting gimmick for this mode in Smash as well. By default you get three path choices after each level, but you're given a bonus objective when the match starts like "Beat the opponent under X seconds" or "Beat the opponent with an item" or "Complete the match without taking more than X damage", and if you fail one of the branches is eliminated.

In a way it kind of adds a Glitz Pit vibe to it as well.
Not sure if these are new today or not, but two new music clips are available on the website as well. The bathtime theme from Nintendogs and the Megaman 2 Wily's Castle theme. http://www.smashbros.com/us/music/

Cool as that sounds, I doubt they would have been able to pull it off if they wanted to keep the same roster and add all these nice features in it as well.

And personally I kind of like the fact that there isn't as many stages in Classic mode for the 3DS. Partially because I wasn't a fan with how Brawl had 12 stages to go through not counting the target smash stages. And the fact that a lot of the stages were fixed to fit a certain theme each time it became more repetitive than it needed to be.

And to be honest I also like the fact they added a choose your adventure twist into the 3DS because it gives you a choice instead of having a pre-determined or random match in some consecutive order.

Of course, it's not gonna be like this at all for the WiiU version but you know for what it's worth I'm liking the way the 3DS version is going so far.
Guys, I know how disappointing today's PotD was. However, some dude has leaked actual footage, footage of gameplay with new characters. Check the rest of his channel, it has more videos of the such. This could just as well be an incredibly elaborate hoax, but it would involve animating all of this by hand, and I seriously doubt that.

The video has been Nintend'oh-ed

Call me an Overeager Beaver, but I guess I'll update the list, because it seems Bowser Jr, Shulk, and Duck Hunt Dog (sorry Gwen) are confirmed

I have no idea how long this video will be up, you know how Nintendo would take down the XY leak videos lickety-split

Also, Falcondorf confirmed. Sorry, anyone who wanted Ganon to play originally
What baffles me more than anything is why someone like Shulk is desirable for Smash Bros. I realize that his game is popular and all, but to me, he is hardly different from most Final Fantasy characters. Also, do we really need any other sword wielders?
this is ape shit, that person really doesn't care about his balls, or her however that works

or job

or money for that matter

Meteos was made by Sakurai?
Hmm, his cryptic comment about raising the intensity to change the boss is probably just a nod at Crazy Hand, but I would be thrilled if he pulled something out of left field and did something new. I think it would be cool if you got to fight someone in a Final Smash kind of transformation, like Giga Bowser or Giga Mac, and their transformation wouldn't run out.
I'll give Bowser Jr. a try whenever I can. I didn't expect someone in a Clown Car to work as a fighter.

I am crying so hard right now my sides help please
Something I didn't even freakin' notice because I was so distracted by the leakage this morning: the Gold Hoard level on the map. Notice how it has a Kremling on it. Could it be that Smash Run enemies bleed into the main game as well? That's awesome.

But on second thought it MIGHT just be a trophy. Oh well.
you know it kinda stinks that ganny doesnt seem to have a new moveset, but it does appear as if his overall speed and reaction time have increased

thats good enough for me

And boo for whoever has put their job on the line just to show off some footage everyone would have seen in scant months anyway
I honestly hope this leak is fake. Not only does the idea of Shulk being playable makes me uncomfortable, but also seeing Ganondorf stuck with the clone status is going to be a big letdown.
In the chance that this is legit, and not some god-tier hoax by someone with way too much time on their hands, who's gonna break the news of Duck Hunt Dog to Shnaps and Gwen?
