Man, I know nobody cares about this but me, but Dedede feels really nerfed. All his best moves have been changed ... this is going to take some getting used to. On the plus side he runs a lot faster now.
I hate the circle pad so. fucking. much.

this is pretty great aside from that and the small ass screen

Yoshi is actually good now???
Yeah, I don't plan to take this version seriously at all.
I love the thumbstick I don't know why everyone has an issue with it. I think it's brilliantly designed, but I guess that's just me.

Anyways ... er ... I completed Classic Mode for the first time playing as Mario in Waluigi's colors ... and at the end I was awarded "Walugi's Cap" ... coincidence?
What is this luchador bird thing in Magicant that keeps killing me and why can't I play as it?
Just got done with my first play session, and, as expected, it's been leaving the same impact on me that Melee did so many moons ago. (hard to believe it's been eleven years since I first got my Gamecube and Melee...)

So far, my favorite modes are Smash Run and Classic. I really like the branching paths that Classic takes, so that it's no longer the same thing every time like in previous installments.

Anyway, am I the only one who feels Greninja's voice is incredibly unfitting? He sounds like Stitch going through puberty.

(Also, all these years, I always thought Rosalina's name was pronounced "Rah-sa-lee-nah", not "Rose-el-ee-nah". I WAS WRONG ALL THESE YEAAAAAARRRRRSSSS)
Can I make a recommendation?
Have this thread for Wii U Smash since it's not out yet and the other thread for 3DS chat since pretty much anything coming out would about the U version would still be a spoiler.

That'll make the discussion easier to separate.
Thread titles changed. This now the Wii U thread. Please put spoilers in spoiler tags since the Wii U version hasn't been leaked entirely yet.
Spoiler tags are still down, but Blackouts still work.

So there was an accidental early stage reveal on the website under the Hidden Characters section. The level is Spoiler:Smashville, visible in one of Wario's screenshots. It is in fact different from Town and City.

This coincides with Spoiler: the Tower of Smash rumor, which stated Smashville would return. This has been one of the biggest criticisms against the rumor, but now makes it seem more plausible. Still just a rumor though.
I never understood why somebody would cite that as a mark against the proposed leak... it's the same kind of thing that just sticks out, like the clone characters being lumped together instead of with their respective franchises. It's such a stupid inclusion, and most people seem to think: "Oh, that's a stupid idea, so this leak can't be true."

I see that stuff and think: "Wow, that's a stupid idea... no faker wanting to actually make waves would include such an illogical thing... So why would this one?"
I don't think it was an accidental reveal, as it's still on the site.

It's definitely Smashville. The clouds are a giveaway. This stage makes me sad, as it was always my first pick with Lucas Sad

Are they going to put Delfino Plaza as a returning stage with the Grand Pianta Statue in the background from Super Smash Bros. Brawl in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U?

Delfino Plaza has not been officially confirmed as a returning stage, to my knowledge. Spoiler:However the supposed leak claims that it will indeed be making a return for the Wii U version of the game.

I hope it returns though. The aesthetic appeal of that stage always got me.

On the topic of returning stages: am I the only one that wishes they would just combine elements of similar stages instead of making distinct ones? Pokemon Stadium for example... there isn't a reason to make two of them (other than to get the pun based on the game titles) when the elemental attributes can just be added on so you have eight potential formations instead of four. I don't know if that would save enough resources to create/bring back a different stage to fill the missing spot, but I'd rather they did that (even without making a new stage) than spread all these ideas across stages which are otherwise the same.

Are Dialga, Groudon, Rayquaza, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Jirachi, & Zygarde going to be Pokéball & Master Ball Items in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & for Wii U?

Speaking of Delfino Plaza, Are they going to put the Grand Pianta Statue in the background? I have a screenshot of what it should look like if you want to see it. I'll send it to you.
I have no way of answering either of those questions for you. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
