Sorry for double posting, but here's a sorted compilation of the dude's findings on characters, including answers from his AMA which aren't included in Iceman's post (I think)

Ask him about new Assists and he talks about the 16-Bit Advanced Wars Assist. Sheesh, this guy must not have remembered Brawl very well.

So D1 (he's a Smash commentator) confirmed that custom moves are changeable through the select screen. This means that one of the major hurdles that could have kept custom moves from being banned in tournaments (taking too long to setup) was just overcome. Hopefully they won't be OP as shit (which I doubt will be a major problem anyway)

I know there's several people here that aren't too big on the competitive scene, but I am and this has me stoked as fuck

There's been a lot of awesome (and not so awesome) confirmations from the Smash reddit about the demo, and I can't wait for the actual game to come out.

Hype:
-Fierce Deity color for Link
-Meta Knight nerfed (so people won't call me out for playing as him just because he's the best. I play him because he's my favorite character x: )
-16 colors for Little Mac
-Alph confirmed alternate for Olimar
-Supposedly Dark Meta Knight and Galacta Knight colors for Meta (Though they could be mistaking the dark and pink colors from Brawl, slightly different)
-Robin being really good and his Levin Sword respawning quickly

Disappointment:
-No Dry Bowser
-No Masked Dedede
-No hooded Robin
-Not many alts for the veterans other than Alph


I do wonder if any alternate costumes may be unlockable. I don't think that is very likely, but I find it weird that Mac supposedly gets more costume colors than the norm while everyone else has 8 split between all their available costumes. Maybe it's just because Wireframe Mac is easier for them to do, so they just threw in a bunch.

My only real disappointment at this particular moment in time is hearing that the floatiness wasn't fully addressed. I much prefer Melee bricks, and it's ridiculous seeing it nowadays, but something much closer would have been nice...
