I think this falls back to my previous statement about this game. Until it is out, it is impossible for us to know all of the intricacies. Complaining about it before knowing all of the details is asinine at best.

You named four moves, and her character portrayed herself as Marth in Awakening for awhile, I wonder why they have moves that are very similar? From the teeny, tiny amount of gameplay shown, I thought that it looked like that she had a different feel from Marth. I don't really get why I can't infer things like that.

Except you can't tell her play style from a couple of animations shown. I had a great example with the Sonic deal I posted. He was pulling out some combos in his video, but in game that wasn't the reality. I actually named six moves, because I only saw six different moves in the video/site and out of all of those moves, they were the same as Marth's. That's six moved out of the possible 13 in the game (Or well, 16 counting all of the grabs as a separate move.) She's Marth in Awakening? Well congratulations, she's a Marth clone in her own game. She's probably going to be a clone in Smash too. She may play differently, but so did Melee Fox and Falco. So did Marth and Roy. So did Young Link and Link. But they're still considered clones, and I'm sure Lucina will be considered a clone as well

You know what, any attempt to determine her play style out of the three moves she did are complete bullshit. Oh, she did an Uair (that was the same as Marth's) to someone above her. (Which Marth can do) Oh, she did a Dolphin Slash (that Marth has as well) to someone diagonally to her to end a combo. (Which Marth can do) Oh, she hit two players with her nair that were to the side of her. (Which again, incredibly similar if not the same as Marths, and is exactly something a Marth can do) Ih, she used Marth's Dancing Blade as a combo. More things that Marth does.

They showed off four moves in about fifteen seconds. There's no way you can tell her fighting style is vastly different than Marth's.
LUCINA CONFIRMED CHROM CONFIRMED ROBIN CONFIRMED

LUCINA THOUGH

GAME OF THE YEAR GAME OF THE YEAR
Honestly i'm kind of dissapointed that we have more fire emblem reps, i was hoping for More obsure characters like Takamaru or Sukapon,

heck DK should actually have more reps as well.

Also why can Robin change genders is that a spell that can be performed in awaking? Haven't Played Awaking but i Heard great things about it.

Here's hoping in the next Smash bros video they have Ness appear in the video.

It's an alternate costume, like with the Wii Fit Trainer.

I've never gotten into Fire Emblem. I thought about it but I wanted Ike's games and they are really expensive now for some reason.
You choose to be male or female in Awakening.
Oh yeah, misread the question.

Hello, I'd like some Hector ringing out some losers with a giant axe please with a side of ridiculous Sothe combos, thanks

Well, so much for the Gematsu Leak, huh? Smug

Also, hell yeah no Chrom, hell yeah Robin, hell yeah Captain Falcon.

Boo Lucina, boo no Roy, boo me getting hyped for Shulk and got this.
I already noticed differences in how Lucina and Marth work. Did people just not watch that closely or something?
The only problem I have with it is that I cannot see the seal in her eye... [Image: LucinaEye.jpg]
This one.
Thank you Soulcaliburfan, I didn't think it was that hard to see differences already.
I'd love for either of you to actually post some differences, instead if just repeating that they're different. I've gone into detail several times
The stances are blatantly different so far, the neutral air was shown to have a third slash that hits behind her, and the supposed up b does a more forward strike than Marth's sword uppercut. Also the sword dance seems to go faster and use different slashing patterns (Even if you argue that it is just the downward version, the angles are quite different.)

That is off of literally 10 seconds of video.
It's not like a clone character is unexpected *points to Toon Link*

Except her nair only does two hits. There's a forward slash, and then the swinging one she does behind her. You know, like Marth's does.

If you don't believe me, here's .gifs comparing the two

I'll have to look at the Dancing Sword's animation a bit more closely since you say they're at different angles, but it's still the same move. I'm wanting to guess that you're mistaken given the mess up on the Nair, but I'll give you the BOTD and check it out. I'll update this post then. However, Roy and Marth had moves that are at varying speeds and slightly differing properties, but they're still considered clones. The Up B is still the same move, however she gets a bit more horizontal movement. That's like saying the Link's Up B isn't basically the same because one gets a bit more vertical than the other. The stance difference hardly means that Lucina isn't a clone, given the fact there are examples of clones having different idles. Not attacking animations can be different and that doesn't keep a character from being a clone. Pichu and Pikachu have different idles, for examples. Doc Mario and Mario have different Idle 2's as well.
