It's just that, for some reason, his Melee select render is flipped.

He seems to be pretty angled in that Smash 4 render. And if anything the shadow under his shirt might suggest it being tucked in like it was

EDIT: I stil think Ness' shirt is a pretty big non-issue though, a lot of things were changed in Smash 4, like Samus heels. It also seems to have a more "neat" direction in style
Actually i could see The Duck Hunt Dog using this

as apart of his moveset as well some people would consider it dumb though
The Zapper's would be a stretch(also it's supposed to be the gun players shoot and kill ducks with so I don't know how Nintendo would feel about that considering Snake couldn't have actual guns), ducks could be used, and he could do comical dog stuff, but none of it makes me think playable character. If anything I think assist trophy, where he throws ducks at players and goes back into the brush.
How is the Zapper any different from the Ray Gun or Super Scope?
Or Samus' stun gun?

So thank you for insulting me, when I'm not even doing that.

Also, how exactly are the IC's out of the roster?

I'm just saying that based on what I've heard from here even, about how Nintendo doesn't really want actual guns in the game, which the Zapper was supposed to represent. All I'm getting at. You could change it of course, but I don't see why you'd give it to the dog just because he was in the game the used it when all he did was pick up the ducks YOU shot.
I'm hoping (if he's legit) Duck Hunt dog fights with duck corpses as weapons.
Just beating people over the head with dead birds

Not true.

We don't have anyone for the White Ghost/Sneaky Spirits from the GBA Rhythm Heaven/Tengoku.

Hey I'm fine with Chorus Kid too.

Animal Crossing had a stage and no rep. I don't think Smash Run enemy means anything
It makes way more sense than giving Captain Falcon pyrokinetic abilities.

I mean, yeah, he's a great bounty hunter. He can do bounty hunter shit.

But that doesn't mean pyrokinesis.

Giving DHD the Zapper makes infinitely more sense.

Also, it's a ZAPPER. It doesn't even kill the ducks. They glare at you as DHD hauls them out of the grass. It ZAPS them. In its only fictional use on Captain N it fired beams of energy. It is not a shotgun.
inb4 DHD disconfirmed tomorrow.

I'm calling it. Tongue Not really yes really maybe.
My bad, I remembered a part of my childhood wrong, I always thought I saw x's in their eyes.(I also grew up with family who hunted and we always called it a hunting game, seeing as Hunt is in the title for fucks sake)
Still, seems just as random as giving Captain Falcon pyrokinetic abilities, but just dumb all around. He's a dog with a gun because it was in his game but he still does dog stuff or throws ducks for most of his attacks theoretically. Why even have the gun if he could just throw the ducks other than filling out his move set because you can't come up with anything else which is just as unimaginative..
And at least with Captain Falcon it's pyrokinetic abilities paired up with punches and stuff, and he's set in the future so you could easily explain that away.

C. Falcon doesn't have pyrokenesis, he's just so good at punching that it catches the air on fire.

seriously, take a physics class some time

The future = Fire is more acceptable to you than Funny Book Animals + Being Named After (Duck Hunt) and Representing the Whole of Their Game = One Attack for a Zapper?
