The titles for characters in the Punch Out arena has been posted:

The ones I find the most interesting or funny are Yoshi, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Robin, Duck Hunt, ROB and the Male Wii Fit Trainer.

For some of them they used their official titles, and some of them they didn't. Mega Man is know as "The Blue Bomber" isn't he?

I feel like the Bomber terminology would be considered insensitive these days. I think they're better off with what they chose.

"Blue metal hero" is really dumb, and megaman even throws bombs in this game... but yeah "super fighting robot" is pretty much perfect in this context so they should have gone with that.

Theres a character called "bomberman" and he doesn't bother anyone so I find it hard to imagine "Blue bomber" would.

Hm. Makes me want to come up with my own titles. Especially after seeing Diddy Kong's super disappointing title, I'm not too fond of Wario's either.

I feel like Dedede's should be accompanied by a question mark. "The King of Dream Land?"

All Music leaked... in a way. I suppose I should say this is a hypothetical list.

Yet again the Mother series lacks any sort of epic battle themes... I feel like everyone forgets those in favor of the lighthearted overworld ones...

One problem is that most of the Mother levels themselves that remain in these latest iterations is stuff based on those happy overworlds. That being the case, that kind of music fits best and seems to be what they were going for.

Yet the inclusion of Porky's theme breaks that trend and really they should have just added those themes. Probably even just as they originally were, no need to even change them.


Wario has it even worse than Mother does, in the sense that they didn't even do any new arrangements for him. The only two songs not previously used are ripped right out of WarioWare.

I feel so bad for Wario. Smash Bros. pretends as if Wario Land didn't happen at all. He's based off of completely random attacks and animations, and all they talk about when he comes up is his... farting? What about his shoulder bashing and greed? His amazing arsenal of power-ups? His throwing ability?

It all seems to be based on Wario Ware for some reason. I mean I know Game & Wario sold a ton of copies, but still!

Wait that's everything? Even the unlockable stuff? They didn't even bring back Mona Pizza?

I know what you mean. I'm a big fan of the Wario platforming games and he's generally my go-to character in Mario-themed party games, but I can't stand Smash's version of him.

Wario's identity was about greed, not farts. Oh well.
