Double posting Oops ninja'd, but Sakurai's twitter and the latest pic of the day basically insinuates that something Smash related is going to be announced in about 12 hours (7 AM on the 14th in Japan basically). I'm still thinking its PROBABLY a Donkey Kong character, but what I'd love even more than that is an announcement of a release date. There's rumors floating around that places like Target are getting their reservation cards or whatever, basically things that insinuate the release is in a few months.

You know what I REALLY wish would happen? Another multiple-character reveal like the original. Might be revealing too much too soon if they did it that way, but I'm always jumping around wondering what characters are gonna be added, and seeing more than one would make me lose my shit.

Technically, Jer, Sawnic was revealed during a Nintendo Direct too. That raises the number to 2 out of 2.

We might not get a newcomer, but we'll get SOMETHING big. Sonic's return to Smash was kind of a big deal, despite the fact no one thought he WOULDN'T make it back into the fray.

EDIT: 1 out of 3. I forgot that Luigi was announced during a Nintendo Direct. Adjust your hype, guys. It'll probably be Diddy Kong.

Well, if it's either a newcomer like King K. Rool, or a veteran that would cause much hype.

The only ones I think would do that would be either Mewtwo or Roy.

Mewtwo cuz Melee veteran, Roy cuz that means we'd get Mewtwo eventually.

I loved the trailer, particularly Samus sizing up Mac.

Yup, I think everyone had a feeling Mac was going to be in, I am just glad that it is true.

It looks like there'll be SOME stages both consoles share.

This is even better than I could of hoped for (Aside from maybe a release date). Little Mac looks AMAZING cool.

Does he become that giant Mac in the new Punchout? Or is that made up for Smash? Because it reminds me of Abobo's Big Adventure.

Do you think the stage logo changes when he's on the field, or did they just change the stage altogether for his sake?

Also I love that the first person they show him fighting is Dedede, as they both traditionally have a boxing ring theme going on.
