The game HAS almost 33 characters already as it is, in fact I think Pac-man puts it over the mark.

Granted, I do think we are hitting the playable character threshold soon.

Or maybe not, someone should ask that damn question.

If Pac-Man and Game & Watch are true, we're at 34.

And no Falcon or Ness yet.

I think we can look forward to a 40+ roster.

What is that rumor again? I kept trying to find it earlier but I couldn't remember the name of the leaker.

Been watching the Game Xplain videos a bit and seeing the various gameplay bits. So far, can confirm Pikachu, Fox, Zelda, Sheik, Bowser and Olimar have unchanged final smashes, more or less. Mega Man's is pretty awesome, it shoots a slow-moving Gravity Well kind of attack that draws in other players, and they get caught in a very cinematic attack.

The Mushroom Kingdom U stage looks pretty awesome. I love the Pilot Wings stage too, especially how the tilt of the plane can make items like barrels roll down the wings.
