The custom moves are more interesting than I expected them to be. I honestly thought the extent of character customization would be just something like changing the colors of attack effects, or some limited pallet-changing options. At the very best I was expecting maybe just a Mii character that you could customize with attacks from the players. But seeing Kirby using ice breath there makes me wonder just how deep they decided to go with it.

But right now the number one question in my mind is what the hell did Sakurai mean when he said the assist trophies would be a critical part of All Star Mode? Will all the trophies appear as non-playable enemies perhaps?

That's assuming that the roster is any bigger than Brawl. There's always been that early interview with Sakurai where he said that Brawl's amount of characters was a good amount, and I've always felt like that was looming over our heads and kind of giving a hint that some characters may be cut this time around. There's plenty of time for a few new veterans, and I'm assuming the game won't be released by E3, so it's fair to assume another newcomer could pop in during that.

I'm really excited for custom moves. The Kirby ice breath was what really drew my attention too. It does look like the moves don't truly change their basics (Mario still shoots fire and Jumps, Kirby still uses his breath, just for exhalation instead of inhalation, etc), but even so I'm wondering what kind of other stuff to expect.

I'm gonna stop myself there, because I could go on and on with every single move of every single character. However, one thing I do wonder is whether or not any moves can be completely replaced with other moves, such as switching out one of Toon Link's moves for one of his other items, as many people asked to see.

Kind of a shame in some respects, because otherwise custom movesets would be a great opportunity to give Mario a proper B-Down Tornado again. Other than that, however, the custom move system seems pretty boss.
There may be a way to customize it so the FLUDD is actually useful.
you know what i am actually very happy about?

kalos elite four stage on wii u

lets pump some of this shit
I think the Kalos Elite Four stage is pretty lame. They could've thought of a cool stage from Gen III or V to give those gens some more representation, but nah. Let's give Gen VI two stages and a character.
Is it lame to you because of the design? Or just because it happens to be another Gen VI stage? Because as far as Elite Four stages I think it's freaking awesome in its design.
Still unhappy about Greninja though.
Unlike Mewtwo or Lucario, Greninja never had the movies or the promoton. Perhaps it's because Gen 6 just doesn't have a Pokemon like Mewtwo so they had no choice but to choose a starter. That's fine but you shouldn't play favorites with the three. The way I saw it was that all three starters were equal. But now we have Charizard with no Squirtle or Ivysaur.

I guess they were already playing favorites with starters when they gave Charizard two Mega Evolutions but not to the others. Perhaps thing will balance out if they have a Grass starter as a newcomer.
I hate to say it Koopaul, but the 3 starters haven't been equal for a while. Charizard has almost always been the fan favorite
I'm pretty sure they adde Greninja because he was a watery ninja frog, which is awesome. His moveset looks sweet as hell too, and I love the inclusion of the substitute doll.
I've never played Pokémon, so I can't really talk about it intelligently, but I'm fine with the Pokémon in there now; I think they should use the rest of the spots for other characters.

Same here. Even though my starter was Fennekin (I always choose the Fire starter in every Pokemon game), I think Greninja is a better final evolution than Chesnaught or Delphox. I mean, a ninja frog! Enough said!

You've never played Pokemon? NEVER PLAYED POKEMON???

How could you have made it this far in life without having played Pokemon?
"Ninja frog, yay!"

Naruto confirmed?
So far predictions I've had for reveals have been dead wrong in terms of timing, but I've been enjoying that actually. It's really cool to see an unexpected, yet awesome fighter. That being said, I do wonder who might be revealed around E3.

Something interesting somebody posted or said in a video or something was the fact that the "guess that trophy" segment had four series that people have been hoping for or expecting a newcomer. It's probably just Sakurai playing head games, but if Fire Emblem, Zelda, Kid Icarus and Metroid each got a new, potentially secret character I'd be all for that. The only one that heavily hinted at a character though was Palutena with the Psuedo Pal trophy.

were they ever truly equal at all?
I don't remember people clamoring over foiled blastoise or venusaur cards as much as charizard
