I'm Captain Falcon on Miiverse. You do not want to see him in a zero suit. You would faint.
I think that, when characters get other (DLC) costumes, it's going to be costumes that were in games before, like Classic Wario, Wire Mac and Male WFTrainer.
Hoping for Dry Bowser, Daisy that's actually Daisy and Sonic Boom Sonic, because why the fuck not.
hey can we like,
get the sakurai pic of the day posted in the topic? sometimes i roll out of bed and im not gonna go to the miiverse to look through a bunch of dopey doodles only to find not-pictures-of-smash

Pic of the day. This is the final destination version of Gerudo Valley. No more surprise visits from Koume and Kotake, and the bridge is gone. There are no distractions and there's nowhere to run. And the score that plays in the background is "Gerudo Valley." You can make most stages turn into a final destination. Depending on the stage, it might be floating in midair or perched on a cliff.

i'm still lovin this "final destination mode" - does this mean though that we'll even be able to use these locally (not online) and in single-player?

I wish they wouldn't call it the "Final Destination version" and instead like, "Glorious Battle" or something - like yeah I get it, everyone knows what "Final Destination" is, but that honestly feels like a fan-name without any of the polish that Smash typically has :\

yeah - actually the name just feels like it's been ripped right out of Project M lol

I don't know, I kind of like the name. They are essentially Final Destination reskins, and it's a reference to something already established in Smash. Idunno

It's highly believed that the layout is not limited to For Glory online mode, mainly due to the fact Rosalina performs her Final Smash on the FD version of the Galaxy stage. Although I suppose it's possible a character might be able to get a Final Smash by having too many deaths again, I don't think that was possible with items off.

As for calling it a Final Destination mode of a stage, I feel like that makes the most sense, but also they haven't actually made it clear that the game itself would call it ANYTHING different than what it is normally called. It may be as simple as a button press that determines the stage layout, or maybe a clickable tab or something. To be honest "Glorious Battle" sounds more like a fan made name to me rather than just calling it the Final Destination state of a stage.

I personally think it would be cool if these Final Destination stages were used for a particular stage of Arcade mode. In Brawl, the penultimate fight was against three computer opponents on Final Destination. I think it would be cool, provided that kind of fight still existed, if that happened on one of the FD versions of another stage, and that the true Final Destination was reserved for the boss.
I'd be disappointed if you couldn't play the Final Destination versions locally. I hope there's a separate stage selection screen for the Final Destination stages. Also, I heard that there won't be any Melee or SSB retro stages. Sad
im okay with no stage repeats

makes room for more actually new stages

plus who isn't sick of those at this point

i want a new game with new stuff
i'll go back to the old games if i really want to play "like the good ol days"
Erm... we've already got Jungle Japes back. Past stages are happening.
But that's only on the 3DS version, I haven't seen it on Wii U.
Halberd from Brawl was shown on the Wii U version.
True. But I said Melee and SSB stages. I know Brawl stages are returning.
You never mentioned that you were talking about the Wii U version.
Well I am. Wink Sorry.

It'll be sad to not be able to play on Big Blue and Corneria in HD.
I'm not opposed to there being past stages included

I just don't care if they are included or not

I should clarify also that I really don't follow the developments on this thread as carefully as everyone else

so my opinions may be outdated/irrelevant
Personally, I don't mind the final destination stages. At least I won't have to hear the same damn song being played over and over again and see the same visuals every time a competition sir wants to play on that stage.

Still, I'm not into the competitive scene of smash. Probably because my preference in smash is to play on the various stages it has to offer and work your way into using the hazards to your advantage. That being said I feel like the competition scene in smash is just very dull when it comes to just skill. But that's solely my opinion.
