Other M and Sticker Star are on different levels, though. Sticker Star is competing with all the other Mario content that has been generated in the past five years, Other M is competing with... nothing. When it's the only Metroid game to come out in the past half-decade, it's going to be far more important to the franchise and to the modern Nintendo overview than Yet Another Mario 5000.
Was Other M received poorly in Japan as well?

Over there they seem to considerate it an average game overall, but a pretty mediocre Metroid title. Not as barftastically bad as it is here, though.
Judging by a lot of anime I've seen, Japan might not be as bothered by long-winded explanations/inner monologues.

Characters' emotions and feelings are often spoken out loud for hours on end.

Actual plot details are kept vague.
I read that the text below the question mark on the flier reads "More characters coming soon".

Which means it is just there to tell us that it is not the complete roster. It isn't necessarily implying there will be a reveal of any sort today. (It is still within the realm of possibility though).
Despite seeing many of the character changes, I'm still not daring to hope for the end of Captain Ganondorf.
I finally found out what that Duo-looking trophy in the back of that trailer was! It was this thing from Find Mii:

EDIT: Sorry everyone, it's just a close up of a complex scene trophy.
Today's post confirms that there is definitely more color schemes and costumes than was shown at E3. So, y'know, if you were actually concerned about that ...

Oh right, and you can wear Mac's pink jumpsuit in the game. Why is he getting all the unique costumes?
Well color me impressed. Even if his jumpsuit is just a singular alternate color and there are no swaps of it, Little Mac has so many interesting choices that I don't think that will be TOO much of a problem. I mean, his World Circuit outfit is even a color swap.

«The pink sweatshirt looks really cool on Little Mac, so you can use that outfit in this game... How can a pink sweatshirt look so cool? Looks like some of you noticed that this version of Little Mac wasn't shown at E3. There are many things, like Link's Skyward Sword tunic design I posted earlier, that haven't been revealed yet.»
I wonder if DK will get anything regarding alts.
No idea what they would actually do for DK, but several that stick out in my mind are his Mario Strikers outfit (which looks like armor), the DK Junior outfit, or simply boxing gloves like in Punch Out.
So, Little Mac gets two alts but Link just gets his tunic colored like his home clothes.
