It's Minecraft, but IN SPACE basically (space-ically)
They sure haven't showed any mining or crafting :0)

I have no problem with FF7 (or Shenmue even though I called it boring looking and I don't feel like it's relevant anymore in this day and age) but I probably should have specified that better.

Quote:also, Shenmue 3. People have been waiting like 14 years for a sequel and the last chapter of the Shenmue series. It was funded in like an hour and a half.
where's the admins' spamming and shittalking of other Kickstarters over that, 'cos I'm way more hyped for that than Bloodstained at this point and apparently the rest of the Internet is too
Bloodstained and Yooka-Laylee were funded just as quickly and with just as much starting hype (but to be fair the goal for Shenmue was much higher) so I don't really see your point *shrug*

Quote:p.s. are we all gonna be mad after the e3 digital event that i just
basically called
I'm not even mad, I'm just really bored of shooters and remakes and remasters and year after year franchises and boring looking IPs that don't seem to really bring anything new to the table.
None of the games showed tonight in any way convinced me to pay full price for them let alone even buy a PS4 when we're like a year or two into the system's lifespan.

I paid pull price for Splatoon recently because it looked like a fresh idea (even though it's a shooter...) but nothing tonight had that same effect on me at all.
Best case scenario is I pick them up in two years when they're 10 bucks apiece.

Last time I can remember having any legitimate hype for a game (as far as E3s go I mean) was Watch_Dogs and that ended up being a piece of shit, apparently.
I didn't even bother looking at Microsoft, EA, or Ubisoft because AHAHAAHAH yeah right

Let's hope Nintendo's got some interesting stuff to show in a few hours.
The only two games I saw that caught my attention from Microsoft were that Rare game collection and a new game called Sea of Thieves. For the former, I'm at least glad that Microsoft is making most of Rare's classics available to a new generation, but it'll take more than a game collection to win me over to buy the XBox One. As for the latter, I honestly don't know what to make of it. It's not a Banjo-Kazooie game or anything really like it, but it certainly beats everything else this hollow shell of Rare has done recently. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it's worth my time (especially if they include any references from Project Dream), but I don't think I'll actually play it since I'm not always up for MMORPGs.
If you're sitting in front of your computer right now, don't forget that this is a thing.

Given we're all Nintendo dweebs here I'd be shocked if you guys somehow had zero interest in watching the Direct.

I'm sitting here like a little kid at Christmas time. If Santa got on TV and told every child of Christian denomination what toys they can expect during the holiday season.

Why doesn't Santa do that.
Santa Direct

I'm gonna pee my pants from all this excitement rn
Watching it right now. Wow, the new Starfox has me interested. Definitely gonna buy it once preorders come around.
But the best part was the introduction. Seeing those Muppet versions of Fox, Peppy, and Falco makes me want a TV series done that way.
Even puppetry of any kind is becoming a dying art.

Also, Special Amiibos of Donkey Kong and Bowser for the new Skylanders. Now that was unexpected.
I like the part that this is all happening this year. Dear Lord. Nintendo chill.
Star Fox 64 is a re-imagining of Star Fox, and Star Fox Zero is a re-imaging of Star Fox 64? C'mon Nintendo :/
let's see

I thought you were kidding, it's called "Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam"???

Why can't I just get my normal Paper Mario sequel with partners and shit...

The best part is that it's not even Paper Mario and Paper Luigi teaming up with Mario and Luigi...it's just Paper Mario teaming up with Mario and Luigi.
It's an immense copout lmao

Technically though you get partners: Mario and Luigi

Man this doesn't even feel real this just feels like a bad sprite comic

E3 2015: Making All Your Sprite Comics From When You Were 11 Come True
or maybe

paper mario is the partner

To give you credit, you're about half right. I'm always interested in a Paper Mario game, but I never imagined any official one like this. I'm certain you guys are thinking the exact same thing, but in my opinion, my first glance at the Gamexplain video thumbnail made me think it was more of a fan project than anything else. (Speaking of which, I actually came up with a Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi crossover episode some time ago, but I'll save the details for my development thread instead of going on an unrelated tangent for my post.)

I honestly don't know what to make of it, to be honest. I should be excited, but the art style looks very similar to Sticker Star, so I'm having my doubts if they'll exclude the flaws of that game (and I don't mean just the sticker system). Still, I haven't watch the trailer yet, so it's unfair to judge this book by its cover (pun slightly intended) so soon. I'll update this post with my second impressions once I reviewed the trailer.

EDIT: On second thought, I have a much better idea! Instead of telling you guys about my thoughts and impressions here, I'll simply make a new thread. Besides, it'll give you guys a chance to discuss this game without flooding the topic.
DAT Xbox One Elite controller.
Must get.
Also pretty happy with Microsoft this E3

look at u judgin a book by its cover. daaang. besides, who are we kidding - Sticker Star and Thousand Year Door have the same art style rofl. It's Paper Mario; the characters all look the same anyhow.

What kinda concerns me is that...like, did the last Paper Mario do so bad they said "screw it, let's do a crossover with the Mario and Luigi series. That's a good graveyard for our paper friend"
That last Paper Mario was bad. The last Mario & Luigi was asinine. It's like the two series jumped the sharks and then crashed into each other in mid-air, and then they decided to just make a game out of the mess it made.

I'm not feeling very hyped for this game, which is a pity because if it had been announced years ago I'd probably be all for it. But after dealing with the last games for each series, I just find trying to get excited about this new game to be ... just exhausting, honestly.
gotta admit, the nintendo e3 digital event wasnt all that impressive. everything was either a new spinoff or a game they already showed us. i mean, come on..

NEW METROID... spinoff!

NEW ZELDA... four three swords

NEW ANIMAL CROSSING... party game!

NEW MARIO... tennis!

hyrule warriors wii u... but on 3ds!

FIRE EMBLEM FATES... in 2016!

to wrap up, they announced more amiibos, but its not like i can ever find those specific amiibos that the game wants me to use, unless i ALWAYS buy amiibos day 1 ( like kosheh :^) ). games like AC party game will be impossible to play, causing the games to have no buyers (unless they pull a chibi robo and bundle the game with amiibos...).

the only thing that i thought was cool was the whole m&l X paper mario thing, but at its worst, its just "paper mario in m&l."
