I'm hoping that this time they take a dip into the villain library of the Mega Man series for a change. I'd love to see just about any version of Sigma or Vile be in a fighting game, they always looked cool in the Capcom crossover rpgs.

My biggest fantasy character has always been Omega from the Mega Man Zero series. Basically a Sentinel sized character from the Capcom side.
i wonder what the boss will be like...hopefully not ridiculously giant, michael bay explosive and overpowered. they should keep it simple and make like some kind of martial artist super villain. something different from a big scary monster. every MVC boss i've played against is really cheap and near impossible to beat. (3 maybe not so much but it's still pretty ridiculous)

i think that's kind of the point.

they're there to gobble up all your quarters
The boss of this one should be Darth Vader.

Not Marvel obviously, but I'd eat that up. Disney, make this happen.

In all seriousness, I feel like there's a heavy leaning on the Infinity Gauntlet in this, so maybe a return of Thanos? I mean, TECHNICALLY speaking he wasn't the boss of a Marvel vs Capcom game.
speaking of disney, why did they renew their partnership with capcom? didn't they have a falling out with each other and then shut down UMVC3? that's just what i remember
Don't think, last Disney - Capcom game is from 2004 (according to google search...).
But Disney (now for game dev. Disney Interactive Studios) have done only publishing, so it doesn't change many things (as I see).
well i meant marvel, which is basically disney.
The emphasis on the Infinity storyline makes Thanos the obvious choice for the Ultimate Villain, but I would rather they did something crazy... Eternity or The Living Tribunal or something.
Judging from the head, it looks like Ultron. But the chest eyes makes me think it's a fusion of him and Astaroth from Ghosts n' Goblins.
Man, that be crazy if they did something similar to Dark Kahn (Shao Kahn fused with Darkseid) But I wouldn't mind Thanos returning.

As I mentioned this at Sonic Retro. I wonder if fans are arguing about whether Nolan North or Ryan Reynolds should be Deadpool.
If he does come back, that is. But then again Reynolds would probably be a bit expensive to hire to reprise the role.

Out of Spider-Man characters to choose from. Eddie Brock Venom would be cool to return, and maybe Carnage as a newcomer.
Vulture could be possible as well, due to Homecoming. Though I'm not sure how popular he is, but probably Shocker too.
Guardians of the Galaxy characters seem likely as well. With Rocket Raccoon likely to be brought back with Groot and Starlord added, maybe.

Also, no Felicia, no buy!

I think if we did get Venom again, he wouldn't be a veteran... I think it would be the Agent Venom Flash Thompson version of the character. Marvel likes to push the newest iterations of their characters, which is why Ultimate Alliance 2 got saddled with Scorpion-Venom. Before current events, I had thought this would be a neat idea, to give us the modern Venom with a new moveset while the original host for Toxin adopted the classic MvC Venom movepool. If Eddie Brock had to return, Anti-Venom was at least a decent way to do it and give us a few unique playstyles.

Oh well. I doubt any of that is happening... Any Spidey content we do get is likely to be from the new movie. I guess that means Vulture?
found some DSiWare on the eShop that are rather addicting

• GG Series WONDERLAND
• GG Series Assault Buster

to be honest i really miss DSiWare. most developers didn't try to add *so much* to a game that it became repetitive and boring. their games were very short and simple, but also very innovative and arcadey in gameplay. Gentertainment is a prime example (well, apparently all of their downloadable games were part of a collection of games released in Japan). not to mention the amazingly low prices. and don't forget Wayforward made a big resurgence thanks to the DSiWare shop.
I totally agree with you, DSiWare and WiiWare have many unique games : Art Style Series, Bit.Trip games, etc...
They are simple but addictive and innovating (particulary gameplay, see Cubello).
It's a shame DSiWare debuted at such a weird time on such a weird, in-between device.
So ... this is kind of a random question to be asking 18 years after the fact, but I've been listening to the Grumps Ocarina of Time playlist lately, and I am really curious ...

How many of you were actually fooled by Sheik the first time you ever played the game? What I mean is, how many of you actually did not suspect, or at least strongly suspect, that Shiek was Zelda in disguise the entire time prior to the actual reveal?

I ask because in all honesty, it was apparent immediately off the bat for me. I can recall playing the game the first time with my sister watching, and when Sheik showed up on screen for the first time my sister was all "That's gotta be Zelda in disguise, right?" and I responded something like "it's gotta be, she's literally the only other blonde in the game aside from Link". (Which technically isn't true; there are some blonde kokiri, but that is pretty irrelevant).

But I think it helped a lot that I never realized that Sheik was supposed to be a boy in that disguise? Sheik has always looked like a girl to me and it literally did not occur to me that it was supposed to be a male disguise until something like my 7th play through the game, when I finally noticed that in one line of dialogue Ruto referred to Sheik as a "young man". I think my failing to realize this might have a lot to do with not growing up with anime and thus not being familiar with their very common effeminate male trope.

BUT THE POINT IS: Didn't realize Sheik was supposed to be a dude. Never doubted that Sheik was Zelda. I'm just wondering if anyone else had similar or dissimilar experiences.
Unfortunately I didn't even know who Sheik was until Super Smash Bros. Melee
