Uh, you mean 900/30, right?
Last I checked you guys still weren't hitting 1080 regularly.
So I'm struggling with my Christmas list. I want to ask for some sort of Wii u or 3ds games, but I'm coming up dry on ideas.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm big on action and RPGs, and I apologize in advance if I already have a game you suggest. X:
Looking for Wii U games and action games?

Get Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101.
You know, if you're perfectly happy with your current library, you don't need to ask for vidya...

Personally, I'd just ask for cash and wait for the post-Christmas sales to roll in, which then you can spend all the monies on games that are marked down. :V

(Smash Bros for Wii U, if you don't have it already. heh)

Whats the point of "shiny" if the gameplay sucks? I still play Super Mario and compared to today's graphics, is horrible. Now if you JUST amp up the graphics to fit the gaming theme while keeping the awesome gameplay, thats what I would call gold. Next-gen games dont deliver on gameplay. Graphics, graphics, graphics. I wish there was an official TFR demo right now...

It exists.  It's called Super Mario All-Stars, and they're the perfect remakes~  I wish they did the same for Super Mario Land 1 and 2.
They'd have to improve the physics in those games too.

Physics in SML1, yes. But SML2 I think has good enough physics, all it needs is a larger camera view.
I could still say there was a little bit of momentum issues and hit detection was little off in SML2.

Nothing too bad but still could use some polishing. I'd say the biggest issues with those games is how incredibly short they are.

I always wanted to see a remake of SML built from the ground up. Featuring a world map, many many more levels and a new world.

I think you miss my point. I meant to say that games dont have to be shiny to be awesome but thats what most companies think so now a days. Nintendo's fine as it is and can make some improvements when neccessary really well. Some other companies just dont get it though. Like Sega (with Sonic) for example.

The Super Mario Land games definitely both have momentum issues, or rather, momentum drops. There are points where you'll just stop short and plummet to your death...

I always wanted a "New Super Mario All-Stars". Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Bros. Special, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2, and an HD New Super Mario Bros. all running on the resources from New Super Mario Bros. U. This with a "free" mode that allows players to bring any power-up from one game to the stages of the other games... So you could ride Yoshi in SMB 1-1, for example.

Edit: I say "always" because I originally wanted this when NSMB came out for the DS, and then again with NSMB2 on 3DS... I just evolve my desire for NSMAS with each NSMB iteration that I enjoy.
Aw man Very Sad But Marioland 1 is perfect as it is...I LOVE the fact that the game's physics are ridiculous.
If you need a fanboy explanation - it's Sasarasa Land and it's very low elevation (and very close to sea level - therefore an increase in air pressure) therefore Mario tires out more easily and doesn't sail through the air like he does in the Mushroom Kingdom because the barometric pressure gets to him and he just sinks like a sack of rocks. That's also why Princess Daisy is so goddamn weird. Because she lives really close to the water. There. u_u;

That's not to say though that I wouldn't mind a remake of the game with contemporary Mario physics, where it's like you think it and Mario does it on screen Blank
I liked Land 1, but definitely enjoyed and 2 more. If they do remake them, they should remake them together and bundle them up. I've always wanted to see an HD 2D remake of them in color. I dunno why, but whenever there's a remake, I like the original dimension to be retained, while upgrading everything. There's nothing wrong with 2.5D and 3D, it's just my interest in seeing sprites evolve into more detailed sprites, rather than sprites evolve into 3D models.
Finally got Mario Kart 8 and holy crap is it fantastic. I'm not kidding when I say I can't find anything wrong with it.

Play any cup on 150cc or Mirror and hope you don't get screwed in the last lap, especially near the finish-line, 4 races straight.
I could also point out Battle Mode, but that's a matter of taste.
Despite these issues, I agree it's near flawless. Have you bought the DLC yet? I highly recommend that, since it contains some of the greatest tracks I've ever played. Well, of the first pack at least of course. Still waiting for May to come.
