As for me, I'm glad that I don't buy any of EA's games anymore. Even though they did publish games like Cel Damage and Plants vs. Zombies 2, I'd rather avoid dealing with them if possible.
I'm not going to boycott them completely just because they're shitheads when it comes to their sports games. Titanfall is wonderful, the upkeep and updates they make for it are wonderful, and the DLC they've put out is great too. EA has it's problems, but I'd rather not boycott everything from them and punish the teams developing good games. If I don't like what they've done with a certain game, I simply won't buy that one, but I've actually heard that they're possibly going to patch those things back in after the outrage from everybody. And if they do do that, then I'll probably get the game.

It also doesn't help that EA has a monopoly on official sports games. So if I don't get the current NHL game from them, I'm shit out of luck.

What's the point of even playing an EA game if you can't even make yourself

Some people enjoy creating their own team, and *gasp* enjoy making their own playerExclamation

EDIT that's not going to even get noticed probably lol: Part of what makes the FIFA World Cup games so damn fun is how my friends will make the MOST monstrous, derpy looking people, and then proceed to die from laughter as "The Saucy Dragon" scores a goal and terrorizes his teammates in celebration.
Hey I haven't bought an EA game in my life.
I love Mirror's Edge as much as I hate EA.

So that's a bit of a pickle.
I just found out something interesting about Kirby Super Star that I've never realized before. And I thought I knew everything there was to know about that game ...

In KSS and it's remake, there are these robotic enemies that show up in the game, primarily on Meta Knight's ship. They look like robotic cannons with wheels (or ... sphere feet?) and are referred to as "Moto Shotzo" ... Shotzo being the name of the immobile cannon-looking enemy that has shown up in every Kirby game to date. Since the name implies that it is just a mobile version of Shotzo, I never really gave the character any second thoughts.

But then today I just happened to come across this animated gif from a Game Boy game, one I had never heard of before:

I instantly recognized the design of the tank, but my first thought is it could be just a coincidence. After all, a spherical shaped tank can't be that hard of a concept to come up with individually. But then I noticed that when the game logo is shown it actually says "HAL LABORATORY". So this was actually an intentional cameo. Neat!

But this gets a little more interesting. If you have a keen eye you might have noticed that this character shows up in Kirby Mass Attack as well, in the beloved Kirby Quest minigame. One if Kirby's "perfect" attacks involves him riding on Moto Shotzo while fleeing from a giant dragon-like tank with boxing gloves.

I never knew what this dragon-thing was supposed to be, and assumed that it was a scrapped boss from the never-released Gamecube Kirby game, much like the Dedede tank that also appears in Kirby Quest. But it turns out this thing is actually another reference to Trax!

Neat!

But you know what else is interesting? Scroll back up and look at that animated gif of the game opening again. Notice anything? You probably would have to be a very keen Kirby fan to even notice, but all the explosion and smoke effects are actually identical to the ones used in the Kirby series. Interesting, considering this game came out one year before Kirby's debut. Kirby, you lazy lazy bastard.

I've also found from doing a search on TSR that nobody has actually ripped anything from this game yet. I think I just found my next project.

Sorry if I'm just repeating something that's common knowledge. I genuinely had never heard of this cameo before and considering how much of a Kirby freak I am I'm working under the assumption that most other people haven't either ...
Trax is a really weird game lol
like, you can really see that the people at HAL had a love of the ridiculously silly, despite the more serious implications a tank would normally have

oh also the stage 4 midboss is similar to kabula, too
[Image: br9Zz.png]
and the final boss also wields a hammer
(though I guess these two things aren't really all that remarkable lol)

would be cool to see a revisit to this concept
even if I had to do it myself lol
Great finds, Jerry my boy!
Hey guys! For the next four-and-a-half hours only, you can purchase Psychonauts in the Humble Store for a mere 99 cents!

As one of my all-time favorite games, I highly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity if you've never played it!

I already have Psychonauts on PC, but this is good news nonetheless.
A glitch that lets other characters use other characters weapons in Hyrule Warriors.

That sounds cool. Hope it doesn't get patched in the English release.

Hackers are starting to make custom tracks for Mario Kart 8

http://nintendoeverything.com/hackers-st...-8-tracks/
So with all this MK8 hacking going on, does this mean that we will finally be able to rip from Wii U games soon? Because I need TW101 and Bayonetta 2 models like I need air.
