Yo, does anyone here have Xenoverse on PC? If not, I highly recommend it, and I also need help with achievements.
Speaking of dumpster diving,

Have you ever encountered stuff like this?

I'd actually like to try dumpster diving at a gamestop and see what I can find. Those cut cords though...
and all of those discs that can be recycled...

I guess those would be good practice electronics for learning to splice cords, though!
I definitely need some practice material...
Dude makes some great points but good god his voice is so annoying.
From a comment in video so take it lightly

As a former Gamestop employee things only get thrown away if they don't already work. They are cut or destroyed for one of two reasons. One, they were issued as a return to vendor but the vendor requested their destruction. Not destroying them is a breach of contract with the vendor and opens up Gamestop to a lawsuit. Two, Loss prevention reasons. Items that are returned as defective are destroyed by a manager prior to being discarded to prevent internal theft. Employee's friend returns a game as defective to get another copy. Item is then destroyed to prevent the employee or friend form doing exactly what you're doing.

Unless you're suggesting Gamestop should be donating defective merchandise to kids....
As much as I don't agree with throwing away something that works perfectly fine, what Spacecow quoted is pretty much the mindset of any retail business. It sucks, but it's what they are going to do. Sad
What bothers me most about the video is:
1. The overwhelming amount of times he says "You cut the disc"
And
2. The "PC master race" scumbag in the comments who has 300something thumbs up. "LAWL CONSUL GAEMS R IN DA TRASH WERE DEY BELONG!!!!!111"

Whatever happened to liking computers and consoles equally? How does playing a computer make you better than everyone else? The so-called PC "master race" is just as bad as the console fanboys, I S2G.
Most Youtube top comments are up'd by bots and personalities.
I think what probably bothers me the most is that all of those discs that they're throwing out by the truckload can be recycled.

This sort of thing doesn't really apply to the average person but on large scale disk trashing like Gamestop does, this makes a lot of sense.

They already make their employees remove the discs and inserts from the cases anyway so it's not like it'll require extra labor or costs to do.
They can even continue to slash the disks. Just sent them off to be reused instead of sending them to the dump to sit for eternity. Unsure
"Defective" stuff I find in Gamestop dumpsters is often very easy to fix (or not even broken).

Also yeah I've been getting free Club Nintendo points from all the 3DS cases, hopefully I will have enough for Wii Party U before it shuts down.
Do you ever find regular DS cases?
I need a bunch

Check the bankrupt thread, I find stuff all the time. The Club Nintendo points don't work in those unfortunately...

Just ask the guys at Gamestop they will give them to you, and then check the dumpster.

I think that's the thing (assuming Vipershark's asking what I THINK he's asking): Gamestop has their own, outsourced manufactured game cases that are thinner (and don't hold up really well iirc, they're just really floppy and use a crappy plastic) and they just don't feel the same grade as the Nintendo ones. The "clip" that holds them is also designed differently and there usually isn't a "GBA peripheral-holder slot" in them, either

obv, for collectorpants over here official case > gamestop crap one

of course you'll probably say "Uh hello??? Gamestop doesnt even put most of their DS games in cases!!!"
that's true...
shut up ):
WayForward is having a sale on their Wii U and 3DS games.

Most? They don't put any of their DS or 3DS games in cases! Big Grin They just keep the cartridges only, because cases are useless, amirite?

Um Kosh... They give me the official Nintendo cases complete with insert and manuals and even the GBA slot. 95% of the ones they gave me are official, but the Gamestop ones are really easy to tell apart.

The newer official Nintendo ones don't have a GBA slot.
