That made me laugh harder than I should have. I haven't played that new game, so that's...certainly something alright.
To give New Island's soundtrack some credit here, not every song abuses that damn kazoo. Some of them actually sound pretty neat, I find.

I guess they were going for a Yoshi's Story vibe with the music (what with the silly and squeaky instruments, the recurring melody, and the cutesy nature of it all), but... I don't think they nailed it.

This is Yoshi music. This music is probably iconic by now. I'm pretty sure if you Googled "Good music in SNES Mario games", this would come up.

The thing is, the aesthetic in most of the recent Yoshi games resembles the ones seen in that game, SMW2: Yoshi's Island. The music, however, takes cues from Yoshi's Story...which doesn't match the goofy aesthetic from that game. As a result, the atmosphere is ruined.
Fire Emblem games don't have Advance Wars music: even though it's the same developers and composers, both games have their own atmosphere that's not only conveyed by the graphical style, but the music composition as well.
You guys don't send me into the pit of listening to Yoshi's Island on loo--

No, wait, I can still esca--

I had things to do Very Sad

(Am I the only one who makes up lyrics to these songs while playing?)

Kosheh did you get your game yet, because I am going to SELL YOU on PUSHMO.

Okay so basically Pushmo is this CUTE GAME where you guide your loveable Sumo Mallo (he's basically a cute little cloud thing) to the top of the tower by PULLING and PUSHING blocks. Real talk, the game is called PULLBLOX in EUROPE and that was PROBABLY A BETTER NAME FOR THE GAME.

A typical Pushmo level will have you pushing blocks and climbing towers, and the puzzles get much more complicated. Some challenges are MURAL Challenges, where the tower you're climbing is basically an IMAGE or a PICTURE of something.

Here's a REALLY BASIC LEVEL from the 3DS version. I assume that the WiiU version is just MORE and BIGGER.

It was created by Intelligent Systems, and they made like a million other great games. I'd check it out if you want something comfy and relaxing.

tbh, you should get Yoshi at that point just because it's the better deal... If you ever get curious down the line, Yoshi will run you forty whole dollars... Pushmo is seven...
I didn't know I needed this in my life until just this minute:

It's the logo on the back of the hat that really does it for me.

I'm betting this only comes in kid sizes though ...
My life won't be complete until I get a Dedede bathrobe with his peace sign on the back.
I've oft considered making one but that would mean learning how to sew and I'm too lazy for that ...

Get a bathrobe
http://www.amazon.com/TowelSelections-Tu...d+bathrobe

Trace this symbol in Photoshop, blow it up to 300dpi and find a custom patch printer on Etsy

And then just sew the patch on the back (which is a lot easier than making the patch yourself...or get an iron-on if you're seriously that lazy)

bam

Jermungandr's Dreamland
Where do I get that King Dedede hat?
