A comment on that video insinuated they actually have an Android version that they are just sitting on. No idea whether that's hot air, though.

iPhones are pretty cut-and-dry though whereas there's millions of Android devices, and tweaking the game to work on all sorts of devices, ain't no rehash dev got time for that. Less time to beta-test across devices for optimal functionality, resulting in happy developers.

No but like seriously as Tommy above said they're probably just sitting on it for now - there's a lot less compatibility testing you have to do for Apple devices before you can ship an item.

It might also be because of Google Play's approval process, too but I'm not entirely sure if that applies to AAA developers Blank
A bunch of Donkey Kong games are available on the Virtual Console! At last! You can bet I'm excited to play DKL again.
I'm a little disappointed they didn't port the Game Boy Color version of Donkey Kong Country.

I saw this and I'm also excited.

...and now I'm on the fence about downloading all of them despite already having 2 copies of each DKC  >_>

Kinda surprised they didn't release the GBC release of DK Land 3 in English or something.
...Actually, it'd be kinda neat if NoA would obtain the rights of Japanese releases, translate them to English and release them on the Virtual Console

That'd be such easy bank, and require so many less people to work on it (though I wonder if they've just like, scrapped the devkits and that's why they can't do that)
Yet no DK 64, which is the only one I actually need ...

Fixed that for you. (Seriously Nintendo, what's up with that?)
I can't wait until they remake DK64 and it has double the collectables

I'd pay for Inverted DK Island DLC.

I hear you have to fight K. Rool with the Holy Goggles to make it work.
Hooray, all the bellyaching I did in the Club Nintendo surveys worked!

Now where's those TurboGrafx-16 games at, NOA?
Better yet, where are ANY of the systems that aren't NES, SNES, or GBA?

Before the Wii U launched, they said that there would be N64 and GCN games on Virtual Console, and so far, neither have appeared, nor has there been any further word on them.
This is why emulators exist. So games aren't lost to the sands of time. I doubt there'd ever be a Neo Geo, Sega Game Gear, Sega Master System, Bandai WonderSwan/Color virtual console, much less the NEC PC 9801. Thank god emulators for these exist.
There's already a Game Gear Virtual Console on the 3DS.
How vast is the library on it?
Not very.
