umm

actually that is my problem with sonic 4 they really seem that they aren't trying new things they're just
remaking everything for nostalgia factor I:

Well anyway this is dumb as fuck, specially considering that we can't even say it's a bad game to this point. Sure, I can say it wasn't what I or what other people were expecting, or that the information leaked so far isn't very pleasurable, but it's nearly impossible to say that I will not like it considering I haven't played one bit of it or saw enough footage of it in action. It's dumb.

ALSO it's also dumb to generalize the fandom. I mean, generalization is dumb, but as I said before, the Sonic fandom is really really divided, so you can't say what the fandom likes or dislikes. Those people behind the boycott are probably some really butthurt and really purist Sonic fans from Sonic Retro.

why is this the only good song in sonic chronicles?? did bioware go "oh we have one decent song, so lets make horrible midi versions of good sonic songs for the rest of the soundtrack"? did they really think that fans would be happy if it had old school sonic music regardless of quality? >>

and is sonic chronicles 2 ever going to come out? it's been two years already and the game's ending demands a sequel...

I hope not.
The first chronicles sucked.
never played it, not interested.

Read that, save yourself the effort.
Still had a pretty good story... But that's not good enough for me to ever touch it again.
we have seen thru this entiiiire thread thatw e all haqve opinions, and that we can't base our tastes in other's tastes. i personaly see no appeal on the sonic RPG, nor any appeal to play any of the recent sonic games except maaaaybe by the latest racing one.
we already have a sonic 4 thread. close this one.
I'll just fuse the two. Hang on.

to be honest that review doesn't capture how bad the game actually is

I still wanted to get the game, even after I read that. Luckily I didn't have enough cash at the time, or I would've been severely disappointed.
The game isn't BAD BAD (I can think of several worse without straying from the DS); but it had piss-poor production values, and was in no way a valuable or even notable addition to the history of the RPG.

But yes; thank god you didn't spend money on it.
one of the things I hate most about it is the forced touch controls
iirc there's no way to change the control scheme to dpad and buttons, which makes moving around on the overworld really annoying.
Eh thats the least of you're problems. I don't mind moving with touch controls at all.

Its everything else.
oh, don't get me wrong, I hate the other stuff too
the touch controls just annoy me the most

then it's probably the music, and after that the gameplay (or lack therof)
What about in other games? Like Zelda?
