Well what do you expect; that's a forum specifically about Sonic. This forum on the other hand is primarily about sprites.

This thread isn't exactly small either, but considering how most of the people here are into video games, and more specifically Sonic the Hedeghog games, this isn't terribly surprising. Not to mention many fans of the once phenomenal series are still hoping for a game that will bring the series back to its former glory.

I can't agree with the people who want classic sonic

aside from modern sonic looking 100x better, their argument doesn't stand well.

They talk about "character progression", yet they want sonic to look the same.

Sonic had green eyes in s3k, at least in super form.
I don't remember, but he might've also had the shoe buckles at this time as well.

I totally understand WHY they want him to be in, but I disagree with them.

That is really ridiculous. There are at least 9 things I want better from this game than the comeback of the classic designs.

In fact pretty much every petition about videogames is ridiculous.

Super Sonic had green eyes because Super Saiyans had green eyes, it was part of the parody.
He always had shoe buckles I guess, but only a few artworks actually showed it.

@DavidCaruso: Sonic Retro had a 1000 page discussion about Sonic Unleashed last time I saw. And it was right before it was released.

Sega never said that they weren't going to redesign Sonic though, All they said was that "We are making a Sonic game that is more like the genesis games". Mind you that doesn't mean they'll redesign sonic for the sake of it being that it's supposed to represent the old times.

Kind of a shitty excuse for the fans to complain about that, they should just be fucking happy with what they're getting.

Also I can agree with rokkan too, seeing that there are better things to expect from this

Mad Gear Zone sounds fucking awesome.

And that looks alright to me so far! If I had one thing to complain about it, it would be that because everything's in a larger, HD size, there's less on the screen. Gives a bit less reaction time for pits and enemies.

also when was Labyrinth zone considered anywhere near an Egyptian desert like zone?
