Why do we have to go so friggin deep concerning the Rock Paper Scissors trio?
So okay, Ice is only 2x effective against Astorb instead of 4x, but that still gives him an advantage plus you are not forced to put him against Heateor.

Also, look at Groudon and Kyogre for example: Groudon has an obvious disadvantage against Kyogre, but are claimed to be equally matched according to the Pokédex entries.

So the circle is not perfect. So what? There is not a single balanced trio of legend in the real Pokémon games.
This was also more based on the space rock trio idea, having added features of Rock Paper Scissors. It's still Rock beats Scissors beat Paper beats Rock, at least in a way.
Just to add, the RPS trio is meant to be minor.

I want this chapter closed so we can move on, because I'm getting pretty tired of this discussion.

On a side note, I forgot to mention that the RPS trio were once one rock that split in three and went their seperate ways, only to reunite in the region where the tSR Pokémon adventure takes place.
Nicktendo DS, I totally agree with you, and I think your designs are great, but I dont think the three spacial rocks look "legenday" enough to be a trio. Most trios have been magestic and big, but these seem more like the castform line on this generation. The designs are great, but not legendary worthy. If you are going to say the lake trio are not majestic and big, I understand, but there is still something "mystical" about them that makes them legendary, while these are just space rocks.

I like the Nesdah design, I think we should explore mind/body/spirit.
yeah, and basically, the starter trio are somewhat based on Rock Paper Scissors anyway, so it is best if we tried a different trio combo, because trying to find ones that fit, let alone having three types (strong to one, and week to another besides water, fire, and grass) espesually one that has to be a rock type can be hard.

so besides the Mind/Body/Spirit, what else can we come up with?

Or we could, you know, go with my idea.

Rock - Rock type, ability that cancels out or weakens Ice type attacks on it
Paper - Grass type, ability that cancels out or weakens Rock type attacks on it
Scissors - ice type, ability that cancels out or weakens grass type attacks on it

That should work, right?
Well yeah, I don't see why it shouldn't

This is brilliant.

BRILLIANT

Everybody read this. We can make rock paper scissors any type that fits best, and gives them an abillity to cancel out whatever we want.

I back this 100%
You do realize that the Rock Paper Scissors trio was supposed to be the equivalent of the Regis not Groudon and Kyogre.

Also scissors doesn't have to be Steel. You need to forget what these things are made of.

Trapinch is not a Bug type, why should Scissors be Steel?
Honestly I think we should pick, either one, pick something else for our legendary trio, (the whole rock paper scissors thing is a really good idea, but since rock has to be rock, and having scissors fly and paper being fighting...its just getting oit of hand) or two, think about our major legendaries right now (like Ho-Oh & Lugia), and then we can do the trio, sine most of the time, the two legendaries somehow tie into the legendary trio's story (like Ho-Oh and the Legendary Beasts).

I think we should do the second one first, especully because the trio thing is getting out of hand right now.

We need to solve something soon, or NOTHING will get done! All we have is our starters, the grass type evolutions, the spino fossil evolutions and the other fossil, who still needs an evolution, and the other starter evo's also.
Good idea let's move away from this for now. Actually we never really finalized our starters besides the Grass one. We still need to make a final form for the Desman.

desman3
That looks b-a man.

Something to go with Neshdah.
So far the idea is Mind and Body/Matter, with Spirit being the third. Spirit could also represent both hope and despair, which could have its story influences.
The story: Team [insert name here] wants to rule the world, blablabla, and using the Pokémon of Mind or Matter they are able to control the people of region [insert name here]. Using Neshda (Body/Matter) they are able to control people as if they were puppets and using Rasiris (Mind) they are able to bend their will.
In version 3 they will attempt to capture both, but are stopped by the Pokémon of Spirit. As long as there is Spirit, the people of region [insert name here] will break free from the spell of Neshda and Rasiris, so they will attempt to capture him aswell... something along those lines.

Rasiris (Ra+Osiris)
Type: Psychic/ Dragon
Mentality Pokémon

It is able to control anyones mind at will. The sundish on its head contains unlimited energy able to travel multiple galaxies without dying out.

New Pokédex for Neshdah
Type: Fight/ Dragon
Corporal Pokémon

It is able to bend anyones body at will. The muscles in its body contain unlimited strength. It is able to clear any obstacle up to the size and weight of the moon.
It's good, but I'm guessing you didn't read the last few posts on the page before, we are dropping the legendary trio for now, because it is one getting out of hand and two, we need to finish our final designs and evolutions for the other starters
i don't see the problem with people posting what they can. i mean, it's alright to have a "we'll focus on this," but if someone comes up with a design/suggestion for something else, it shouldn't be put a stop to. creative juices don't flow that way.

that said, i like the idea of an osiris pokemon. i think someone menti?oned lucario was sort of anubis? maybe there could be egyptian god legendaries?
