I like the idea of a hose nose and the design idea we have right now is simplistic, cute and clean looking; essential parts to the first evolution of a starter. Egypt makes me think more of sand and heat, and well, hippopotas. If that's what gets chosen there should probably be some Nile themes stuffed in there or something. Right now I see more potential in the desman, though.

Okay guys I decided that after the starters are decided we work on designing them first. I want to have the starter sprites around to promote this project and to show everyone what we are doing.

That doesn't mean we'll stop suggesting/ making idea for other Pokemon. We'll continue doing that but I'd like to see the sprites for the starter made before the other sprites okay?

I would have said water panda for starter but its too late now,
and agreed with Koopaul that would help the project get more users to join in more then likely

Koopaul, can you do a hippo first form so people don't get skewed toward one or the other for lack of image? We could drip the Egypt thing, cause StarSock has a point.

i made a hippo first form, I was thinking for thi Hippo's final form to be the egyptian goddes/pharaoh...here is the image agian, if needed..we don't have to use it of course, just a sugestion...

I'm not a huge fan of the hippo, actually. I like the desman, and I know it hasn't been voted on, but I still think a water elephant would be pretty neat~

Well I tried picturing a hippo in my head but it always came out looking similar to Hoppopotas. I think we should make the Hippo different from Hippopotas as possible.

If we base the Hippo on a baby hippo, they normally have small snouts when Hippopotas has a big one and they have small eyes in their face, not big ones on top of it. The Hippo should be blue and have different markings to Hippopotas.

I dunno, I think a desman would fit better for a starter. The water starters are usually small and cute, but with large features (squirtle's tail, totodile's spikes, mudkips fins, piplup's "coat", wotter's ears). I feel that the starters are also usually blue, but with a largely contrasting color (piplup/wotter=white, totodile/mudkip= a reddish orange)

Not to get off topic, but the otter starters name is officially wotter? Because if it is, then that's an alright name...
