Honestly, I could see the snow bunny/mistletoe being some kind of split path evolution. Have some small basic normal type bunny that can evolve into a ice type snow bunny or the mistletoe bunny, and from there, into a possible final evolution.

You know, since one would be ice, and the other grass, that would give the frozen and mossy stones (the ones that only evolve eevee) some more uses.

Simple solution that solve all the problems.
I looked into the whole mistletoe/poinsettia stuff, and from what I've gathered, while the kissing under the mistletoe thing isn't really prevalent in Japan, both plants are still used for decoration around Christmas time. At the very least they would probably be recognizable.
for an electric type, why not a cheetah?

fastest land animal...and the fastest thing in the world/space, so yeah...

I've actually been working on a design for that. I'll post a rough sketch tomorrow.
Oh and I keep forgetting to address the sabertooth. I wouldn't mind the new cat Pokemon becoming a rock-type sabertooth. Perhaps a Normal-Rock type. It could be the still-alive-Prehistoric Pokemon like Relicanth or Mamoswine.
I also like the Sabertooth tiger (smilodon), and I think it should be like the pokemon that are rare in Black and White, like the blue stag/deer, the water bison/ ox mix (not the American Buffalo) type deals.

EDIT: in case you were wondering what I was talking about...

anyways I thought I should post an idea for a cheetah pokemon.

I checked, and all the cat pokemon only have one evolution excluding the prevo, so yeah....and baby cheetahs do have a funny looking mohawk (think I spelled it right...) so thats why its there. I also wanted to avoid making it like the new cat, and I also wanted a lightning bolt at the end of the tail, then I remembered Riachu has one, so yeah....

I don't want to reject Devicho's Pokemon though because a mistletoe becoming poinsettia-like is a neat idea. The snow bunnies (which are like snowmen they make) are a Japanese thing and don't really relate to the Western Christmas traditions of the mistletoe/poinsettia.

Well, isn't the whole point of pokemon designs to be stretches and exaggerations? Marill is a bit of a stretch. Who would relate a mouse with water? I personally really like the snow rabbit mistletoe idea. They both have foliage (grss ears, mistletoe) and are both recognized in the winter.

i like the mohawk+baby cheetah idea, especially since it's lightning type. it'll look "shocked".
the evonot so much.
Is there any design ideas to make the adult cheetah look more...shocked or lightning type?
What about a new tree pokemon or even bush a bit like tanglea.
There first one will be called paleot
the second one will be called palestar
the third one will be called paleoking.
It will be grass and ground type
you should do somthing like an eevee so it evolves in winter summer spring and aurtum but will make it harder to get them all
have you

read anything in the first post??
not all of it
well, we're not doing evos or prevos.

completely original fakemon
I think he means not Eevee, but something similar to Eevee
