You know, I was thinking, for the 3 stage ghost type of this gen, what if the first was based off a paint brush, second was a painting, and 3rd was a bust? I mean they all fit for things you'd see in a haunted house of some sort (paintbrush aside).
[Image: artsyghost.png]? Idea was done in Mother 3 already.
I guess that means that they shouldn't release Genesect since it uses the same concept as the Mother 3 enemy "Metal Attack Roach"?

My point is, is that there can be a world of difference between an idea and the actual design. And even if nothing works for it, theres plenty of other art related things that could work. A vase could probably work as well, although it would most likely be a bit more simplistic in design.

EDIT- You could probably also compare Garbodor to Forlorn Junk Heap.
i would main the 2nd stage komodo.
although it probably needs something to be more pokemon-ish.

lightning cheetah 1st stage.
i was thinking the marks could give a feel of speed lines.

i borrowed the black eyeliner from mutantyoshi's design.

looks like a tiger now that i look at it

I don't think the painting should evolve into a bust, we have shouldn't have tit pokemon they're two entirely different forms of art. maybe the third stage could be a ghostly portrait, like with the eyes that follow you?
Hmmmm. How does a "fishing" pokemon sound? It would have a vine or tail thing as a fishing line. Big Grin

The only jellyfish pokemon I know is tenacool and tentacruel.

An attempt to create a locomotive-based pokémon.

Choocharge (Choochoo+charge)
Type: Steel/Poison
Engine Pokémon

Ability: Speed Boost

-Couldn't think of a Pokédex entry-

It is a heavy Pokémon with quite some Defense and is surprisingly fast for his weight. He has a fair base attack stat, but is lacking in Special Attack and Special Defense, making it very veunerable to Fire Pokémon.
Hey, that's pretty cool! May I ask why it's a Poison type? I might be able to guess something to do with the steam, but...
I love it!

The color scheme makes it seem like it's a toy train though.
Pretty cool dude! Big Grin
I like it, but it doesn't look much like a pokemon to me.

To me it actually looks much more like a megaman boss.

My thoughts exactly... sorry.

Now that you mentioned it, it does. Tongue
This idea was tossed around on an old fakemon project on another forum I go to a few years ago. At the time I thought it was implausible, but now that we have Vanilluxe and its family I think it would be a realistic idea.

Starts off as a normal type (or maybe rock because it's hard candy). it becomes one of three evolutions (evolves by level, maybe changing based on base stats, knowing a move, or holding certain items). All evolutions keep the main type and gain a subtype. Fighting for lollipop, Dark for jawbreaker (or maybe rock if the main type is normal), and Flying for the cotton candy (or maybe Ghost)

the designs can easily be changed. Originally I had the 3rd evolution being a empty candy wrapper, but I liked the cotton candy idea more. The lollipop had another lollipop at the bottom end of its stick, which then had many little legs like the first stage had.
Whoa no way I was just sitting here thinking about a candy Pokemon!! Surprise

Nice!!
