I'm using the desktop version and I can barely see the difference between them. I have a similar suggestion though. Somewhat?

Why not change the way certain smilies are typed? An example would be shocked Shocked and shy Shy where you have to type the word in colons. Why not change them to be simpler and easier to remember (I say that because a few kinda slip your mind often)? Shocked could be typed as (@_@) and shy could be typed as (:'>) or something similar.
Gee. I just got off my shift at work and went to Gamestop hoping I could pick up the last copy of Battletoads. The staff told me they weren't selling the game - and what's worse, I'm now banned from the store for life for inciting a riot.
This day just can't get any worse... -_-

Hey, do you think you could spare writing up a tutorial for ripping from Wii U games? I'll do what I can to help the community, but I'm...just kind of a dope when it comes to coding -3-

Hey, I'm interested in ripping from Smash Bros, because I'd really like to get ahold of Zero Suit Samus' assets...if you know what I mean. >:J

Or it could be typed as O_O;

Some kind of preview for The Sounds Resource as a replacement for icons.

Maybe a 15-30 sec. preview in mp3 format.
I'm thinking about something like on Gamebanana.
That's been discussed but it's way too much work. Sounds are uploaded in zip files so to make this work, a second upload would be required which would then need to be cut from one of the files included in the zip. This wouldn't be awful if done by submitters but, 98% of the time, it would likely fall to staff to do and those submissions are hard enough to process without the extra work this would cause. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea but it's just not feasible with our current staffing.
I think there should be properties in 3D model pages that tell whether rigs and animations are included or not. Uploaders can pick from a drop down. Also a short (like 255 chars maximum) "description" or "uploader note" property would be nice if possible. This could be used when you update a model or something.
There should be a reminder/warning that your addblock is on for this site.
Personally, its off most of the time, except when i work on the icons where i need to open dozens of pages, and yeah, i forgot to put it back off after the last time. Also, im sure theres a bunch of people that are not aware how the adds are important for this kind of sites.
That's a grey area for me. Any kind of alert/warning that AdBlock is on will be seen as invasive by people who have it on for a reason and as much as I'd prefer nobody use AdBlock here, it's a choice that everyone has and one that I don't intend to try to circumvent. We've made it expressly clear that some aspects of the site break with AdBlock enabled and that we will do nothing to fix bugs caused by third-party code but, at the end of the day, I don't want to do anything shady either.
Is there a plugin that allows us to embed .webm images/videos? I tried using the [img] tag but that doesn't work.
I don't think there's a built-in way to do it just yet but I'm sure it's possible to add. As far as I know though, only Chrome currently supports native display of .webm graphics so I can't imagine there'd be a ton of use for it at the moment.

I usually block that sort of object with my adblocker as well - some sites link it to the same object as the rest of the site, though, in which case I probably shouldn't be on the site to begin with.  Rolleyes

This displays for me just fine in Firefox: http://imgur.com/HfBJDGU I think two of the most (if not the two most) popular browsers supporting it is enough to warrant the addition. Of course it's not a huge issue and if it's too much work to add then that's fine.
That displays fine for me in Safari as well which makes me think I must be confusing it with another format. I'll look into it but that may need to wait for a MyBB update.
I know it might be a lot to ask, but is there any reason we don't have download pausing?
personally asking because I have dial up and downloads usually stop like 50% through
We don't have it because on tSR and tTR at least, the files are small and wouldn't benefit from this ability and for tMR and tSoR, it's never been an issue before so I've never looked into it. It's not currently a planned feature though I suppose it's something I could look into.
It should be mentioned, we haven't actively disabled it - it's off by default as a rule of thumb.
