I hard-refreshed several times and I'm still getting what Trollerskates is talking about (the VG Resource banner glued to the top of the browser):

It's supposed to do that. I get what Trollerskates is saying - I did have a solution that problem, I'll work to get it implemented tomorrow.
Ah, yeah, that's intentional. I didn't think it would wind up covering much of the posts but I didn't test it in classic mode. I'm curious what Dazz's solution is now though.
can we get a toggle for the floating header or some equivalent? i actually don't like it at all, ahaha. having it pinned at the top of the page as a static was better imho
At the very least, is there some possible way to have the header tell you the title of the thread you're in since people were mentioning not being able to see it?
I've fixed the linking to posts making them display below the sitebar.

We've put the site bar in this manner for consistency across all of the sites - it seems illogical to have a bar act differently across the sites and forum, when they're part of the same network.
I've been wondering if it's possible to let people who have instant approval also edit/replace icons and sheets that they've submitted. That way they wouldn't have to bother mods to about small fixes or improvements on their own sheets (like if they forgot to include a tag or the icon is a bit off). Of course it's not a huge thing, but I figure that if a user is trusted enough to be able to add sheets without moderation, they're probably trusted enough to edit those as well.
That was actually something Dazz and I discussed in regards to the revision system. The problem, however, is that there is technically no way to "know" who submitted a sheet since your submitter name isn't necessarily your forum name. With all new submissions, the user ID of the submitter is stored with a log entry so in theory, we could use that but it still doesn't take into account sheets with multiple submitters or fixes that have been uploaded by staff. In the end, there are only two options - let those with instant approval edit everything freely or have them go through the same revision system (when finished) as everyone else. We agreed to opt for the latter.
Ah, that makes sense. That's alright then, asking mods to fix stuff isn't a big hassle.
Like I said, it will be even simpler when the revision system is finally done. It will let you (or anyone else for that matter) "edit" a sheet but your changes will be queued for approval, just like a normal submission. There will be a field to provide a reason for your change, the staff can review it, and then simply click the accept button to apply those changes instantly. So, while the forum method certainly works and is simple enough, you'll only need it for a little while longer.
Can this sytem be used to necessarly remake a custom sheet?
Yes. It is basically the submission form with a couple of extra features added so you can edit/replace any part of an existing submission with it.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the revision system, so I didn't read your first post properly. Looking forward to it Smile
Yo I heard it's against site rules to post attachments on the forum. New users do it all the time and people always get on their asses about it and then the user gets frustrated because they can't figure out why the option exists in the first place if they can't use it.

Case in point: http://www.vg-resource.com/thread-25067-...#pid551823

and under the Forums and Posts tab, untick the Can post attachments? option checkbox.

Rinse and repeat for each usergroup.
^ If you do it this way, then you can just leave it so Mods and Admins only can post attachments, Just Like The Spaghetti Monster Intended.
I just wrote that from memory rofl so if it's not those exact menus anymore, I apologize.

But if you want to totally deny it from ever existing on the forum, you can also remove the attachment box in the templates, too.
(But you have to shout "FUCK ATTACHMENTS" IRL as loud as you can before doing the next step in order for this to have the full effect.
So if you live in an apartment complex, you should be okay with the prior process as it'll have a similar effect with better control and no risk of breaking the themes)

in newthread, newreply, and delete, just find and delete
Code:
{$attachbox}

Then no longer will posts like

inb4 someone says "OH, YOU SHOULD READ THE TUTORIAL!" well, I LOOKED FOR A TUTORIAL, AND IT JUST LEAD ME TO THE SUBMISSIONS THREAD, AND I HAVE ALOT OF REASONS TO BE CONFUSED.
IF THEY'RE GONNA ADD AN "ADD ATTACHMENT" TO THE MENU, I'M PROBABLY GONNA USE IT. IF IT'S BANNED, OOPS, SHOULD'NT OF PUT THAT OPTION THERE!

exist.

** also if this is implemented into the forum can I get a hug from one of the staff members (preferably Mighty Jetters or Kat) please? Just, you know, to confirm the changes went into effect.
Because attachments ARE allowed, just not in S&PA.

They're useful in the resource specific areas but we don't want them posted outside of that.
...which I'm pretty sure the rules state, but if not I'll make that edit.
