You know there actually IS a thread subscription function. I just don't remember how to activate it.

Only reason I looked for that was because I apparently accidentally subscribed myself to a thread a few weeks ago, tbh.

Wow, this was very at the bottom ^^"
Thank you guys
I'm sure that this has already been suggested, but how about a BackGround/Tileset Resource? I mean, sure it fits in with the Spriters-Resource, but I think it would just... i don't know, it just seems like a better fit for me.
If they are sprites then they go in the sprite area, if Textures then the texture area. We don't need a website just for backgrounds thats silly.
I know that it is a bit of a silly suggestion but once the ability to move games easily is done on the site, I would like to see the Sega/Mega CD, 32x and Mega Modem games (Sonic Eraser, Doki Doki Penguin Land) merged with the Genesis section.

The main reason is because they all require the Genesis for the games to work. There aren't many games on the 32x to begin with and in terms of 2D games even less. The Sega CD section is trickier since there were more dedicated consoles for that such as the Wondermega and the Multi Mega/CDX but they still had Genesis cart slots. However many games that were released on the Genesis were also released on the Sega CD, sometimes the soundtrack, an intro video and load times being the only differences. As for the Mega Modem, some were kept on the service however two games that appeared on there which were Flicky and Fatal Labyrinth were released as a Genesis cartridge in US/Europe and many were later released on the Sega Games Can discs for the Sega CD as well as a special cartridge in Japan (Games Can Special) that doesn't seem to work on emulators. This is similar to the BS games (BS Zelda, BS Super Mario USA, BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2) and the Sufami Turbo games (SD Ultra Battle) that are on the site, both add ons that require the console but they are on the SNES section.
Yeah, I've been trying to get Krade to see if he can do some coding to move whole games so I can do just that. I'd like to combine 32x and Sega D with the Genesis/Megadrive section and create a new Master System/Game Gear section. Krade hasn't responded yet though.

All it'd require is that one give credit in one's game to use it. It'd make the Spriters Resource much more useful for those not interested in making fan games.

Well I would say they would have to be pretty generic things. What game maker would use someone else's character if they weren't making a fan game?

You could probably do basic objects, tiles, maybe real life animals.

Oh and speaking of Customs when are we going to get down to making some Icons for that section. I started a topic a while back and we made quite a few.

I know, but there is a whole site for just backgrounds (www.bghq.com). But I do see your view of my idea. Sure its weird to add a whole new site for just backgrounds/tilesets. I just thought it would be more organized, but then again, it would spread the sprites away from there games...

Well just because there is a website just for backgrounds doesn't mean it is a good idea for us to do that. We only provide the Resources that people need to do whatever with, not to make a site just for backgrounds, just for characters, just for object, just for animals, you see where I am going with this?

Ah, I get it now. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
I have an idea... It's big:
An submit file on the TSR Home Page... The forums could be an organization of the submitted sprites of X author...
I'm getting kinda tired with the forum etc (well my critic), so many times I acidentally was asking "why you not upload my X sheet?, etc"
Well:
This could help everything, I have sheets like 1 months waiting and Cave Story too (too the sounds and some textures but them...) [Well, I'm waiting calmed Smile]
Well, basically you choose the platform (DS/PC ETC) and choose the game tittle as icons...
If the game isn't on, you need to make a game sheet (for choose the game of course)
Them you put the icon (with browse on the PC) and the image (browse on PC too)... It's an other idea inside the other idea, much times photobucket/imageshack make the quality very bad when uploading the sheets, so that's because...

This could be included on Sounds, Textures and Models too...
Surely, it's need admin aprovation...

I got this idea because all the sites I upload things (like U64/MFGG) have an great system with submit file system, and U64 have an wiki-alike system for editing the posts...
They submit in 1 day or in hours!

Thanks a lot...
I submitted the sprite sheets for Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2. They're both on iPhone, but I thought it would fit in Other Systems. Seeing other games like Doodle Jump in Mobile Phones, I suggest to move CBNK3D and CBNK2 to Mobile Phones.
Might I suggest adding the word sprites to the title tag on game pages? It would then read:

The Spriters Resource | System > Letter > Title Sprites

in the browser bar. The reason I'm suggesting this is because it might help TSR be better indexed by search engines. If someone searches for (name of game) sprites, the TSR page will contain the full search term and might be placed a little higher on the page.
