Tahaxan(to extract the sprites)

I'd like to know, which version is the most reccommended?
Tahaxan - Tihaxa
Hello,

well here I read all the stuff about ripping NDS... Solink, your tuts are really helpful Smile ; but:
I tried to Rip Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch. But (the game is from ´07) I cannot convert the sprites from the file! There are mostly "packages" of Narc files.... and they include every time on palette and three other files.
Do you know a way how to extract them? Because I cannot really rip the game like I did it with James Cameron´s AVATAR with AnimGet, because often sprites are overlapped by overworld trees or so.

Do you know a way to convert the files to plain bmp or png graphics?
Here´s a screen for showing how the game is ordered: http://share.cherrytree.at/showfile-1015...hot_02.png

I'm interested to know what's the best method to open .psb and .jp2 files from games to extract the data inside.
Game rippers doesn't recognize them and Photoshop doesn't opens the .psb files, which makes me think it's just a different format with the same extention. And no, not even a Hex editor could help here. Tongue

I'm pretty sure TiledGGD can open NARC files, it's what I used for Pokémon Ranger 2, and they were NARCs.

Although TiledGGD could open the archive, the graphics file inside the archive looks to be compressed so that won't help much.

I think this should work;
- unpack the .narc files using NinUnpack (drag & drop any number of archives; a new folder is created for every archive)
- decompress the .ncgc files using DSDecmp (drag & drop single files, a '_' is appended to the filename if a file with the same same as the decompressed file already exists)
- view the NCER+NCGR/NCBR/RGCN+NCLR files with GlycerinMapViewer, or just the NCGR/NCBR/RGCN+NCLR files with TiledGGD.
Thank you Barubary! Now I currently get all the Face Icons... I´m still looking for the RPG Overworld Chars in all folders (through Tahaxan surely). Hopefully they´re not in these ".bin" files. ^^
But a very big Thanks anyway!
There are some sprites from Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver that haven't been ripped yet, and I really need them, so I've decided I'll just do it myself. But I haven't been able to find a good way to rip Nintendo DS sprites on a Mac. Does anyone here know of a good solution? Thanks.
Try the DeSmuME emulator. It got Mac releases here

Tried it. It only emulates, no sprite ripping. =/
That's the whole point.
For us PC users there's a tool called AnimGet that takes many screenshots of the active window. I believe there might be a program like that for Mac too, maybe SnagIt? Then, get the emulator working, disable the layers you don't want or do it via OAM viewer and rip it.

Well, of course I could do that. But that's not what I want. I want a complete rip of the files in the ROM, not some incomplete, do-it-yourself makeshift attempt.
how can I rip sound effects from psx games?
Now that was rude. I was going to look for more for you but now... Have fun
