What emulator are people using to even play these and rip those graphics? I can't find anything on google, especially since all I know to type is "mobile emulator", as I've no idea if there's like a specific type of phone that's emulated or what.
I use KEmulator-lite
oh and before you try to rip the sprites from screenshots extract the .jar file. Sometimes the sprites appear in the folder

You will have to do it manually by taking off the background pixel by pixel =X

Really hmmm that going to be a little hard what program do you recommand.
Hi, I wont to do some rips form a PC game called Bikini Karate Babes. It's a Mortal Kombat spoof fighting game. In the install folder there a hole bunch of files that end in an .img8 extension. I'm pretty sure there the graphics but I have no idea how to open them. I'm not sure if there actual packed animations or single images or what. Any one have any tips on how I could access these?

Sorry, I'm new here. I hope this was the right place to put this request.
After looking at that screenshot I made a typo (on the Comix Zone example), it is VDP - Sprites but they are stored in chucks that need a bit of a sort however if the game you are ripping is Gunstar Heroes that I'm guessing, it's under layers and there should be a colour key option.

The example that I gave with the blue background only applied to Comix Zone and a couple of games though.

Edit: I was refering to the gensKmod post. For the background removal, you can use GIMP, Graphicsgale, Paint Shop Pro or any other image editor where there are selection options by colour, area, stuff like that. I'm sure you can use MSPaint as well. Easiest way is to crop the area so only the sprites you want are shown then you can remove the background.
Thank i will give it a shot.

You know all of the sprites in ZX / ZXA are freely viewable using a tile editor like GGD, YY_chr, or tile_molester, right?

Yeah, they need to be assembled, but that's why it's fun! Cute
I'm not sure if this belongs here or not, but I've attached some tools for ripping dreamcast textures to this post. I'm not sure how many games these work for, but I know they work for both the Sonic Adventures.
Could you add the cd-i emulator to the list?

Why is there N64 emulator on the list?
Just because if someone wants to rip things such as HUD and such

what the hell are these filetypes and what do i do with them?

i extracted them from a ds game and i know theyre image files but i dont know what to do
Prometheus, a lot of games have file formats made specifically for that one game or for that company's games. If you have googled the file type and nothing came up, its likely that format hasn't been cracked yet. If that's the case here, then you'll need to you use an emulator such as Desmume to rip the sprites from the layer viewer.

If it helps the nclr is the palette, ncgr is the sprite, if it has LZ at the end I'm guessing that they are compressed, not seen the others before.

Barubary's TileGGD or TileMolester should open them bar the compressed ones.
Uh...how do I post sprites without putting them online somewhere else first. I'm new here and I need help.
hi i'm planning to rip some images from diamond, i was just wondering if i download the one of the programs will it take a large amount of space in my computer?

thanks if anyone can help me
Alright, I'm not sure if this has been answered, but I want to know the easiest way to rip a Nintendo DS game for Mac OS X. Not a lot of people use them here, so... anyone?
