Starstorm was only really included as part of the plot in a way that Kumatora had to get stuck by lightning to receive it. In Mother 2 Starstorm was used to kill Master Belch's second/third form.

I still think we should just have assist trophies that duplicated Ness/Lucas's starstorms. PK Love was more important to the plot than Starstorm was :/

Lucas and Claus both used PK Love. We could stick Ness with Rockin, have Lucas with starstorm, Claus with Love, and Porky with either a PigMask Calvary or Giygas.

Clause with Love does not make any sense because Lucas's version was stronger, and Claus at the time was an unfeeling "robot". The Masked Man was most noted for his ability to control where lightning would strike with his sword. If anything that masked man should show up on the airship he kicked Lucas off of and use the lightning strike.

EDIT: About Porkey, the design we are using is not his mother 3 one so his FS should have something to do with the Devil's machine. Porkey came in as a Mother 2 villian representative, and the Masked Man as a Mother 3 one.

Aww, I kinda liked the PK Love for Claus. But Lightning WOULD make more sense. It's not as though a standard special hasn't been made into a more powerful form for a Final Smash in the past. Look at the Mario Finale, and kind of to a lesser extent Dedede's final smash.

EDIT: Quickie suggestion for Porky's FS: He opens up the Devil Machine, and the screen's background gets all black with red whisps everywhere, and Giygas' face shows up in random areas for a rather large "incomprehensible" attack.

And Claus's PK Love wasn't exactly something to shrug off in Mother 3.

His Standard Special atm has nothing to do with his lightning capabilities. Honestly, I just think his final smash should be the lightning because we really have no other place to incorporate such a controlled, powerful attack.

@Ton: Yeah, but neither was his lightning attack, especially since Lucas was the only one immune to it.

Also The Masked Man's PK Love was never an instant kill (looking at the before final cut scene).
And before someone mentions Flint, remember, it took two Pk Love Omega's to knock him down, and even then he was still conscious.

I thought that lightning was one of his specials?

Sorry, when I say "standard special", I mean standard when compared to a Final Smash. If you mean the special attack button pressed without a direction, I refer to that as a "neutral special". Just my preference.

And yes, "Inexplicable" is what I always mean to say. xD

Porky's FS: Ring of energy emanates from center of the stage. In the ring you can see Giygas as it expands. All non-Porky characters have their controls reversed for x amount of time. A box pops up that says "You cannot grasp the true form or Giygas's attack!"

But that's neither here nor there.

Giygas could do a shitload of status effects, we could cause all the character to cry and have moves miss more often for X amount of time. Giygas could also use PK Rockin, we could always have him use one of the Non Porkey characters final smashes.

Well, we'll discuss that in his topic. Right now I'm torn between retaining Starstorm and using their signature attacks. I am thinking that PK Rocking would look awesome in its 16 bit glory, however.

starstorm seems like more of an at anyway. that way it would still be around, but actually in a category where its weakness would be warranted.

It would have to be nerfed quite a bit.

Just shorten the duration and / or range of the attack a bit, most other Assist Trophies don't have such a wide area of effect. The original was pretty easy to dodge so just a little nerfing should bring it to AT-level.

I say that we make Starman the one who uses starstorm as an at. I say that because you can't just choose Kumatora or Poo. People would complain too much that you didn't pick the other.
