I created my Softcap with one of the many extra Backups I got. Great set in my opinion, just took some getting used to the Backup because I used the Banner a lot before, but eventually I found out that the Backup tends to be more useful. That's the only Polycount set I have. The only other one I'd really want is the Gas Jockey set.

that's how i crafted mine

Yes, and it takes like 72 items altogether to craft 4 refined metals :/
Or trading stupid shit for insane amounts of metal because a lot of people tend to be retarded and not know the worth of anything.
so I wanted to try and get into the trading business and see how many refined I can run away with

any tips, guys? I know it's REALLY sad that TF2 degraded to this, but hey: I want to try this out.

The best place to con people out of their items/metal is pub servers. Tell the idiots you're trading with that the item they want is hard to craft/in high demand. I traded a Crit-a-Cola for two Flareguns and a reclaimed metal this way.
Crit-a-Colas were actually in fairly high demand for a while though. Pretty much just for crafting Polycount weapons though.

People get really retarded when there's crates about, though. Both in trading away and for.
but yeah, people try to out-con me in trading servers, though : (

I tried to get a vintage CritaCola for a reclaimed, and people in the server began bitching about how they're worth a hat at least.

It was Jiggly's, though, so that might've explained a lot of things.
Jiggly is a huge twat. He was on one of his servers and he was talking shit to someone about his Unusual hat. Saying that there's no other hat like it and that it's the best. He even banned someone for saying it wasn't. And kicked me for saying I've seen it before.

It was a Dapper Topper with Searing Plasma or something.
You know, if any of you tSR guys would ever get a hat or whatever item released for TF2, I'll buy that item in no time.

Even if it sucks balls.

Because TF2 lacks items. Just saying.
Fuck, I couldn't wait any longer.
I've just bought the Familliar Fez, Milkman, and Ten gallon. Plus a can of paint and a description tag.

The Special delivery is great. The +25 hp goes a long way, and I'd say it's balanced well enough because you no longer have your pistol. The Shortstop is a wonderful little gun, too.
The Saharan Spy is nice, also. Even with the Dead Ringer, it's difficult for people to notice you uncloaking near them. L'Etranger is a decent weapon, and though obviously not as powerful as the other revolvers, it makes escaping less troublesome.

...Feels good, Mann.
I wish I had my Max's head back.
Just traded my Bill hat for 7 refined and a reclaimed. Good deal Y/N?

Either way, it allowed me to craft The Powerjack and Attendant, so I've been messing about with the Pyro's polycount set for a few minutes. While the -10% bullet resistance is very apparent, the speed boost you get from this set is just awesome. Being able to outspeed medics is great, and the Powerjack is a decent alternative to the Axtinguisher; At one point, I was able to ambush two snipers together, and 5 seconds later I was almost fully overhealed. Fuck Yeah.
Bill Hat usually goes for about 5-6 refined so you indeed got a good deal. Though I would never sell my Bills Hat, especially since it's painted with Team Spirit.
safe n sound is all i'll ever need.
Troublemaker's Tossle Cap. Painted black, that is... though I liked the second paint scheme in black better than the current one.

And my Real Genuine Cowboy Hat.
