It worked again after turning off the PC and turning it on the next morning, it was probably just temporary. Start times are back to about 3 minutes for startup, and about 5-7 for joining a server. That's only if I haven't joined a server with that map during that session though, I mean if I join one on Gorge, then disconnect, if I go with another on Gorge it'll go in like 2 minutes. But then if I go to a Dustbowl one it'll probably take 5 minutes again. But that's normal and I'm fine with it, at least the framerate's good.
Although had some server hiccups, I managed to try mann vs machine today. I was the pyro. Soon after I was unlocking achivements left and right.. Though, what's up with it's server lately? Too much traffic?
I have no problems anymore, I get into games really easily waits are as little as 5 minutes now. I love sapping bots and going on a stab spree. but as soon as I lose my disguise even when cloaked it's insta-death. Like 15 rockets headed at me at a time.
I have still to try being a Spy on Mann vs Machine. In fact so far I've only really been Demo and Pyro, the latter being quite effective when having ammo refill canteens.
Yeah, I also noticed that. He's a beast in this mode, even healing when destroying a 'bot, and good for smashing tanks in a group. Only downside is Soldiers and giant demomen.

you'd be surprised how easy is to hit a slowly walking giant with your flaregun. and how fast he dies after each sucessfully crit flare.
Also, get your noisemakers ready, it's TF2 Birthday Time
Oh my gosh

the new lines

I LOVE THEM

every time I think my love for tf2 has died
a new update comes with new lines
and I'm right back like a cat that goes out for the night
Beggars Bazooka is so amazing in this mode. Especially if you combine it with any from of critboost (buff banner, jarate, kritzkrieg).

I HEARD YOU LIKE SPLASH DAMAGE.
a friend of mine wanted one of my s. market gardeners and didn't have any metal

so he offered a dirty triad trinket and now i am happy due to the massive difference in price

just felt as though this glitch was worth a video
Beat Coaltown Mann-Up mode. Got the Scout's cleaver and a new Medic backpack. Not bad.
Having completed one tour I decided to almost fill out a second and then just play the same missions over and over to get loot from other people's squad surplus tickets

I am most brilliant man

Honestly though Mann vs. Machine is probably the most fun I've had with TF2 in a long long time and people are actually *gasp* working together and creating strategies! One team I was on actually noted that people were totally willing to lend items and trade and stuff so others could excel at their class of choice (the same team promptly shoved me down a pit when I went AFK, which was admittedly very hilarious).
I've been struggling with trying to do the advanced missions on Decoy

I always have this need to fill the Engie slot since nobody wants to do it, it seems

I need legitimate strategies, help please :C

zatochi demoman - useful against demobots, soldierbots, scoutbots and sniperbots. using the zatochi with health-on-kill upgrades overheals you. late game, you become one of the best options for taking out tanks and giant melee robots.

phlog pyro - due to the phlog giving the pyro heavy damage resistance (and the sheer amount of robots) you won't have much of a need for damage resistance or crit-on-kill upgrades, leaving you to become extremely overpowered earlier in the game, although the lack of airblast is distressing.

those are my 2 main strategies, the others being a tad boring.
