so one of the guys in charge of the robotic boogaloo update wants to buy my unusual villains veil

this only gets better
lol he kept saying "no pressure" and then got pissy when i said i may want to wait on it;
Quote:>>--The Heartsman--->: people offer this high so they can get it faster
Mr. GHOSTS: but he was saying that in the long run, it would probably be most beneficial to wait on it; i wasn't aiming to sell it immediately as i rather like the effect/hat
Mr. GHOSTS: i mainly wanted to see offers and if it was too good to pass up i'd take it
>>--The Heartsman--->: well, I thought my offer was too good to pass up
Mr. GHOSTS: its a great offer: probably the highest i'll get at the moment, but unfortunately i feel that i may need to pass on it, at least for the time being
>>--The Heartsman--->: what if I added 2 buds?
>>--The Heartsman--->: so i didnt hvae to wait
Mr. GHOSTS: i still think i'll have to wait on it; as stated i just want to scope out offers for the time being
>>--The Heartsman--->: alright, enjoy missing out on all the high offers
>>--The Heartsman--->: ill go buy somehting else
>>--The Heartsman---> is now Offline.
im fucking petrified right now: the 5th richest person in the entire tf2 world added me on steam; his backpack is worth $26600+ and now the admins of various trading communities are apparently going to add me on steam over the next while

What the fuck did you do this time?
Mostly because the Villains Veil Sonikku got was an unusual that caught the eyes of perspective buyers. More or less, he's hit the big time now. If he plays his cards right he can get even better stuff. Also said Veil has the Roboactive effect which is rare in itself.
As in, it's the only Robactive Veil in existence right now
BIG ASS UPDATE

They've buffed/nerfed a lot of weapons, made the item sets pretty much cosmetic, fiddled with the maps, added maps,and they added over 60 community hats/miscs.
the deadringer nerf i am the happiest about

because i can completely counter it with the 40% cloak time that the buffed l'etranger gives now and it LASTS EVEN LONGER THAN THE DEADRINGER DID BEFORE THE NERF

Unless you're caught in the middle of crossfire, where you'll still be shit out of luck.

And you'll be stuck with a weak pistol as well
You'd be shit out of luck if you were caught in crossfire as a Spy anyway, just saying.

I'm also pissed at myself about this update. I was working on a misc for the Heavy two years ago in Blender, then forgot about it. Someone else apparently also had the same idea and actually finished theirs. It's in the game now as the Heavyweight Champ (shit you not, the file was actually named that).

Oh well, better luck next time I guess.

to be fair i get by with the ambassador's slow shooting time and -15% damage penalty; a -20% damage penalty with faster shooting is a decent tradeoff considering i rarely am able to land headshots with the ambassador to begin with

not to mention i have been getting better at the stabby stabby methods; jumpstabbing, strafestabbing, stairstabbing, etc. to the point where i am able to get at least 3 kills in an average life without taking too much damage
I bought some keys today for the second time ever and didn't get duplicate weapons. Woo.

Instead, I got this nice Soldier hat.

Also, I have a free medic hat for anyone who wants it, if they can provide me with a gift wrap.

I redeemed my claim checks and got the Birdman of Australiatraz which goes well with the Crocodile Smile and Huntsman. I also had a duplicate which I traded for the Soldiers' Viking Hat and the Pyro's Rubber Glove hat (Both non craftable) in addition to a Haunted Sir Hootsalot. I also got 2 Well Rounded Rifleman hats from the claim checks too as well as the Tyrtlenek and Graybans (Goes well with the Soviet Gentleman).

I recently also got a Strange Huntsman from TF2 Warehouse (I'm actually getting good at landing shots with it as I have 400 kills or so now)

Set me back around 80k something points. But much cheaper than buying keys and trading them to other people who would jack up the price.
so i've been waiting for the other guy to sell his roboactive villains veil which he hasn't yet; there's currently only 2 so its hard to price

i just checked today and the anti-freeze variation has been priced to 29.2 buds, however the trend with unusuals is that purple or, in general, team-neutral colored effects are the most sought after. purple energy beats green energy, burning flames beats scorching flames, etc. because they are flashy but not so incredibly so that it contrasts too horribly outside the team colors.

anti-freeze is a green effect, while roboactive is a purple one; if an anti-freeze veil gets 29.2 buds its possible my roboactive veil trumps this by being on-par with the burning flames variation at 34 to 35 buds if the trend is to be trusted.
