I converted a .bin file of a pokemon into a .smd file with ohana and i got this message.

Can anyone explain what went wrong?
It means that the vertices are weighted to bones that don't exist (I think)
Do the bones deform the mesh in a proper way though?

Ohana hasn't been updated to use weights yet. So no weights exist yet.
Didn't know that. In that case it makes sense.

So i have to manually rig it then? Or is there an easier way.
Either use the models already uploaded to the models resource or import yourself using RTB's maxscript.

I would if i had 3DS Max. I wonder if there's ways to convert maxscript or allow it to run on blender.

No. Someone would have to redo the coding. And I don't think that RTB is any good at Blender.
Hello! Can you rip some or just one battle background? I'd really appreciate it.

Bumping this again, but I'm scaling it back an evolutionary step (read: now looking for Servine, Pignite, and Dewott).

and somebody told me I was being impatient???... Hint, hint...

At least I didn't made any request for models here and my waiting made fruition... Now I have ALL EEVEELUTIONS.  Big Grin
It wasn't like happened to KHDDD, since MayBeePah was a frigging troll that disappeared for over 2 months and then he came back to tell us about a SURPRISE... but at least... concerning this topic... It was updated several times... and now I realized that you were even more impatient than me... I waited 2 months and you didn't at least waited 1 week.

If you can't wait to get the Unova starters... go get them by yourself using the plugins that RTB gave to us.
at least that's what I would do...

I am reconsidering doing that, but I dunno how the heck did RTB to make those perfectly models that normally had all faces fused into one single mesh even on C4d... all the other models semed like all parts are separated (Eyes, mouth and body) and it makes animations kinda hellish and even leads to rendering problems. besides you can't use Hypernurbs on those badly imported models, due for the holes it has on mouth and eye corners of the model itself... even some tons of holes on the body itself makes it like happened to Kyubei on Madoka Magica when killed by Homura... (Filled with holes)
that ruined Teddiursa and even Suicune...  Sad

Due for that difficulty at making the perfect DAE's RTB does... I think I cannot do it myself... besides, I have the plugin, but I dunno which version of 3DS Max supports it... Do you know what version should I download to use it???
Use 2012
If you want to weld the body together (don't do this to the iris layer) you can probably use the Skin Utilites tools to copy the skin data from the source meshes to a one that's been welded.

Smoothing a triangulated mesh will look like shit too so don't forget to quadrify it too
I use 2013, and it loads the 2012 scripts just fine.
ah maybe i was using the wrong one with 2014, those are the only versions I have installed atm.
Ok... Since nobody has cared to tell me which version of 3DS Max should I use to use the X/Y/OR/AS model importer gave by RTB, then I have no choice but trying with 3DS Max 2009. If you ever cared to read the last part of my post, you would see my question.

Sorry. but one question shouldn't be left unanswered by over 24 hours. even when I said I wanted to upload models to all of you... I end cancelling it before even starting by just technical problems... and that's not the way of Farlavor... When Farlavor says... I will upload models of X game... I will... that's all. I may screw, or may not... That's a thing I should at least try.

just in case I find something I cannot import, rip, convert or either open, I will upload the raw file here, and let the others do the work on my place... I prefer doing that instead of nothing.

Let's hope this plugin works with 3DS Max 2009. becuz I will not stay all week doing nothing than just searching for videos that sadly never appears, due for the worst way Youtube searches videos. (Neither I could be able to see all the new features of Disgaea 5 on Youtube and Twitch, just plain gameplay and zero farming... after one week of it's release on japan)
