I have high hopes for this game. The gameplay footage looked pretty good.

I know it's good; so yes, I do have high hopes for it.

I just wish sonic will finally be able to go toe-to-toe with mario, just like the good old days.

Oh wait there, Sonic won that battle a looong time ago back in the genesis days.

And he lost that battle ever since the Gamecube.

Not to start the "Who's better: Mario or Sonic" thread, but Sonic was never winning the battle according to sales.

I get sick of hearing about the "Mario vs Sonic" crap, mainly because both as characters and as game franchises they are very different. The only main similarities is the fact that they were both platformers and happened to be company mascots.

What a lot of people really mean (sometimes) is Nintendo vs Sega. Sega lost that, they don't make consoles anymore. (I still love Dreamcast though...)

Sega stopped making hardware because they fell behind on its specs. The Playstation 2 was the killer for the Dreamcast. I think the battle was never finished.. Why? Because Sony ended it after all... not Nintendo.. And also the war between Mario & Sonic is bullcrap. 2 different games, 2 different styles. You cant compare them in any way because they are far to different.

I'm just going to give the demo a try. If I enjoy it, so be it. If I don't, so be it.

Simple as that. Not really that big of a deal.

Wasn't the Dreamcast the most powerful system on the market for a year? Honestly if SEGA did make a console, it would probably beat all other consoles in the power department. Since they had a track record of having more powerful consoles at the time of release. But yes, SEGA's console division died mostly because the Dreamcast was released a year before the PS2 and the PS2 was much more appealing to people at the time.

This is a good way to think about it. Don't bash it before you try it, but not saying it's the best thing in the universe and I must have it. I'd like to hear what you think of it after you try the demo.

I agree with Apoc, we should try it out first.

By the way, even though sonic and mario are two different games, they used to be rivals, and SEGA was actually trying to compete. SEGA failed ever since the 3D era, but it looks like they're regaining their footing. I just want to see sonic on the top 5 charts again.

I wasn't fanboy-ing at all. I'm not even a really big fanboy of Sonic. It was my opinion anyways. I was just trying to say how I see it. That doesn't say that it is!
Sonic was made to battle Mario because of the great hype at that time. Sonic won with the Genesis, lost with the CD, lost with the Saturn, won with the dreamcast, and at its end, Sony killed the Dreamcast. Im just trying to say that sony ended it, and not Nintendo.

Now lets fucking get back to the topic.
Most tracks in S4 Ep2 are horrible in my opinion. Most, not all. They really need to stop using that soundfont.
