So, her are the final feet positions for Kent C. Koopa. Besides obviously applying textures, got any changes you'd like to request?

Here's a quick update before I go to bed. Since I'm a little uncertain on most of my progress so far, I feel like this is the last thing I'm able to work on.

Once again, SuperArthurBros. over on MFGG provided some excellent feedback on my work!

The hat on the guard pose looks a tad too tall.

Otherwise, really amazing work. If the Paper Mario artstyle ever changed, this would work well.
To be honest, this new art direction is really growing on me. I now have no more regrets for choosing it over the old one.

Anyway, I'll be sure to let everyone know about your suggestion to see if they agree with you on the hat.

Mercurial Magypsy over on Starman.net gave me some new critique, so make of it what you will, guys.

Mercurial Magypsy Wrote:I think the black mask looks okay, though maybe lighten the line colors just a little to make it more clear that the lines are there? They blend a little bit (though maybe it’s my screen display, idk.)
The turtle’s accessories look okay.
I have no issue with the Peach torso. ^^

I'm sorta having issues with the contrast on the older bandanna, too. Newer one has better clarity, which is important in animation, since drawings can be missed in seconds.
Well, I'm glad we got that worked out then!

With the way things stand in regards to feedback, I could only work on Peach now. Even then, it's honestly not much...

You can count on kind folks like Karate Joe to pick up the slack when it comes to critiques! If you have any questions or additional critiques, I'm all ears!

SuperArthurBros. chimed in with some additional changes.

I made a few new hands for you guys to look over. How did I do?

Blandish (aka Grendel) over on Starman.net brought up some new critiques. Do you agree with any of them?

Blandish Wrote:Princess Peach looks good so far.
Yeah the new foot is fine.
Should the tongue be a bit more red? It may be bad lighting on my end though.
I don’t think you need to squish the torso.
Those hands are fine.

I'm not sure if I got that side hat right, though...

I didn't get any feedback on my Goomba feet, so I went ahead with new parts. Karate Joe recently said that they're fine and the only thing I need to change at this point is not rotating Mario's torso.

By the way, before you ask, I went with the new foot position.
I think my main issue with your Mario, and its been one thats been nagging me but i couldn't really figure out exactly how to place it so i said nothing, is that his posing is very, very stiff compared to the real deal. None of the demo poses you've shared have that characteristic exaggeration. For a quick example. and since it is readily available on this page, lets dissect the duck.

Right off the bat we can point out where the pose diverges. On most of the poses you've put together his head is pushed back more than it should. aside from that his arms are posed really close to their pin points, this makes his arms far stubbier than they should be and causes the pose to be a lot more static. if you lower his arms you can have a better silhouette too, since we cant really make out his far arm. You should also remember that marios hat is fabric(even in paper) and thus should stretch down lower on his head when pulled on.
