You must have met a Treeguard. They're very powerful, but not so bad if you know how to deal with them. Just make sure you don't chop down too many trees after the third day and plant plenty of pinecones. Also, even if a Treeguard does show up, its slow speed shouldn't give you much trouble as long as you keep moving. Also, if you could lure him into a pig village or an open fire (i.e. a campfire), you should have a chance at defeating it.

By the way, if you actually manage to defeat one for yourself, you'll score a lot of living logs, which are actually used to craft some really amazing items.
I think I'm in love with Astroboy: Omega Factor for GBA. Awesome beat em up action! Can anyone recommend a great beat em up game I can play next?

I love beat em up...

Beat em up...

I'll stop saying beat em up...

Damn it...
For the GBA? As far as I know, I think Sonic Battle has some good fighting action. I knows it's not exactly a beat-em up game, but maybe you'll like it?
I've played that game to death already and it's pretty good thanks. :-)
Are we talking any system, or just GBA? Because I know a few good fantasy style beat em ups, mostly older ones rereleased on newer consoles.

Guardian Heroes and the Capcom Dungeons and Dragons arcade games are both downloadable games now (I forget whether Guardian Heroes is exclusive to Xbox though...), both featuring some RPG elements and a branching path system.

Dragon's Crown is a more recent game, really similar to the DnD game I mentioned in terms of concept, but feels different in execution. I haven't beaten it yet because my ps3 broke. Sad
I'll check em out thanks. Anyone dig Megaman Battle Network 2? Blasting the crap outta a Mettar and a Flappy using Megabustr!!!
Playing Dragon Age: Inquisition right now, and mostly trying to get Blackwall to STOP PUSHING ME AWAY AND KISS ME ALREADY YOU FOOL. (I have playthroughs planned for every. Single. Romance. I'm never going to stop playing this damn game.)

Also, started on Tales of Hearts R, which is quite fun, too! Some of the voice acting isn't great, and the localisation is daft in some cases - why bother renaming Shing to Kor when every single time someone says his name (in the Japanese audio, which is the only audio available) you can hear them calling him Shing?
Devil Survivor is a bucket load of oh no moments.
Captain Toad Heart

The only thing that could make this better would be if Lolo and Lala had a cameo...
Captain Toad is a truckload of "aww that's cute" moments and "oh wow, that's pretty clever" moments.
When I went to pick up my copy of Captain Toad, the clerk who helped me handed it over and said "Here's your copy of Captain Chode that you preordered"

...thanks

I tried putting the game in my WiiU.
I did the first puzzle when you turn the game on when that asshole bird steals your girlfriend.

Noticing my WiiU gamepad's battery light was flashing red, I turned it off and put Smash 4 back in my Wii U and went back to doing Master Order challenges...like I've been doing for the past week. T___T

Battle Network series ftw

(just wait until you get to 6 -- you can play as different Navis and it's a lot of fun)

oh my GOD i'm seconding this. this game has not left my GBA for months.

it's a solid beat 'em up platformer with crazy combos. i was surprised, frankly (and i was also surprised with how hard it is to find)

i think you like crazy combos. so i think you'll like this game.
