I'm pretty sure the other games have different backgrounds.
They do... as far as I know.
Some of the backgrounds are shared, but for the most part each on has their own unique backgrounds.
Erm... Hi.

If I may, I had an inquiry about several of these sheets... well, more like a request, actually. I've noticed that in many of the Kirby copy ability sheets, the poses of Kirby spinning and saluting seem to be missing... (most notably in the ones ripped by OmegaKyogre, sorry to put you on the spot. Very Sad ) I hate to be so picky about it, but I need these poses for what I plan to use the sprites for... If those could just be added, it'd be greatly appreciated. (Like, more than it already is.... I know how much work goes into ripping.)
Anyway, thanks. (For reading, at least... LOL [/longwinded])

Yeah, as omegakyogre said, the 4 new bosses (Masked Dedede, Wham Bam Jewel, Galacta Knight and Marx Soul) all have red icons, because... well, that's the way they looked in The True Arena. Drshnaps and whatnot recoloured the icons themselves, but I'll bet you anything that if I poke around the graphics files, I might find a version with a non-red palette. Either that, or I colourize Wham Bam Jewel's icon to match the other three.
Oh, I know they were red, I was just asking if it needed to be recolored, sorry to bother.Tongue

I assume you mean the poses that Kirby does after attaining a treasure in the Great Cave Offensive?

I looked in to this when I was doing my first sheet, Cutter Kirby. The spin is actually just his animation when entering a door, then flipped and played backwards. The "saluting" poses are indeed in the sheet, as well, so long as I am understanding what you mean:

Hmm, I DID just notice, however, that my Cutter Kirby sheet is missing the two saluting poses. I'll fix that and check if any of my other sheets are missing them as well. Thanks for the heads up.

Let me know if I missed anything.

So, that just leaves Snack Tracks, Common Effects, and Gourmet Race for someone to rip (excluding those that're already being worked on)...
We're on the home stretch.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE UPLOAD! You don't know how long I've been waiting for someone to rip this! Congrats to you!
Bon appétit!

((These definitely took longer than they should have taken to rip... Also, I can't guarantee that I've got everything -- there may be a few 2P-only things I could have missed.))

Also, Drshnaps, there's still a few sprites of Kirby that you've missed. I've ripped them for you, if you don't mind.

The top two are related to Gourmet Race (they were in the tiles right next to the ones you added to your sheet), and the rest is from Revenge of the King's (formerly Milky Way Wishes) credits sequence -- normal, and divided up into layers... and YES, Kirby sits in front of a picture of himself looking out the window. Lazy HAL... XP

...I'll be ripping three more backgrounds (Masked Dedede, Marx and Marx Soul's) after I'm done helping out a few individuals. Afterwards... I'm sure I'll find something else to rip. :B
Surprise wow, RTB. Great job.

And you missed the most obvious proof of laziness. The sprite of Kirby sitting at the computer still has a huge chunk of the Kirby sprite from the same SNES sprite underneath the new Kirby sprite.
since when was ghost kirby in gourmet raceQuestion

I've never seen him in it...Sad

If you play the same track twice (in time trial mode, I think (?)), your old performance is shown on the screen as ghost kirby. It's similar to how in the Mario Kart games you can see ghost versions of yourself driving a track with your best time's run when playing in time trial mode.

Ya know that in most racing games, there are Time Trial ghosts that show your best run? Well, Ghost Kirby is just like that. In other words, go through one of the courses, return to the same course, and Ghost Kirby will follow the same path you had taken (or your best path if you've gone through more than once).

(EDIT: D'oh, omegakyogre beat me to it. XP)

Well, at least you don't see any remnants of the Kirby for that sprite when it's assembled... unlike the other one, where you can actually see a bit or the original Kirby without having to poke through the layers. =P

((Oh, and before someone asks me how I managed to get the entire map for the second course... X/Y position modifying cheats. 'nuff said.))
Wow you guys have almost ripped all the sprites from the game now, good job. These sprites have been very useful for me on my game. Can't wait until you guys finish the rest (Blank Common Effects especially). I figured I'd make an account to make sure I had all of the people's names for when I credit you all. Tell me if I forgot anyone, or if anyone would like his or her name changed. Thanks again for ripping these sprites.

Man... I envy and admire your guys' dedication and motivation! I have no idea how you guys rip all that stuff (do you just play the game, and hand draw it? Well, no... there's probably some rom you can directly rip from, right?)... But I was going to help, but by the time I found this thread, all the easy stuff was taken! But I'll help with a final push...

KEEP GOING!!!!! Big Grin

You guys are seriously doing an awesome job! I've never seen a game just get ripped head-to-toe like this one has! Only a few sheets to go! Also, thanks so much for assembling most of those large bosses! That had to take some time! And also ripping all those animated backgrounds and assembling them into levels! ... I'm getting frustrated just thinking about it. Tongue

You guys are amazing! And, love your site, Shnaps!

I actually found out something interesting while ripping the SNES version of Marx's Arena. The background (The ground part) is actually split into parts, which move at different speeds. The parts simply loop infinitely.

Just a little heads up.
