I like this project so far.
Who wouldn't? Tongue

Anyways, I have a theory that I think could help anyone ripping a Kirby cap to get the job done faster; so pay attention:

My theory is that every c***.b (the ones that just contain the hats) has their sprites arranged in the EXACT SAME ORDER, with the exception of a few extras thrown in here and there in the case of some specific abilities.

With that in mind I arranged this reference sheet using the Stone ability:

The hat sprites in this image are in the exact same order that they appeared in the cnin.b sheet. Now if my theory is correct, then every other c***.b file should have theirs in the same order.

To read the sheet, the hats between white lines should appear on every sheet (with some obvious exceptions, like Jet or Wing which don't have normal flying animations, or Ice which doesn't have a normal running animation.) The hats between red lines are unique and probably won't appear in most sheets. The ones between the purple lines are, as far as I can tell, extra material not actually used anywhere in the game.
Why are there two jumping and falling hat poses *after the landing & bouncing pose*...? I have them on my Wing sheet, and I didn't know what to do with them. I thought they were supposed to be second frames of the jumping and falling animations, but those poses aren't animated in game. Are they unused or somefin?
Also, Stone and Ninja use the same hat, for anyone wondering what's up with the dive kick on that sheet.
Yeah, although it's odd that they included them here since those sprites are already in the anin.b file.

My guess is that there was a couple frames of animation that they were planning on using but something didn't work out and they got removed at some point, and they just didn't bother removing the hat sprites.
I forgot to include this in my reference sheet, but the warpstar sprites use the same cap as the idle ones.

Stone was so freakin' easy. Next up I'm doing Meta Knight ... again ... as a boss this time.

Is it just me or is this project slowing down? I guess it's because we already ripped all the easy stuff.
amazing! good work!!! im loving this project!
I wish I could help you guys out, but... your slots are full lol. And last I checked, the Helpers are done.
The General Rips sheet on the first page doesn't work.
Well it used to. I hate imageshack.

Anyways I was looking at the Marx Soul sheet today and I realized that it still needs quite a bit of work.

- It's missing at least one frame of his idle animation, along with a couple other miscellaneous sprites.
- The special effects are incomplete. Particularly the glowing energy balls which I know have at least two frames of animation each.
- The hole that represents Marx when he's underground is just a solid black for this battle. I have no idea where he got that red pattern unless he just recolored the original Marx's attack.
- The wing crystals DO have a repeating pattern of appearance and are not random at all. Only the colors are random.
- If they're anything like his original form's sprites, his laser-blasting pose SHOULD have a visible mouth behind the white, but it would be necessary to tile-molest to get it.

Here's at least two missing poses that I captured:

So ... um ... yeah.

So ... um ... yeah.

Drat, I was going to say that, but you beat me to it. Big Grin

I kinda noticed that some of the frames were missing yesterday when I was playing with Game Maker. Yeah, It's missing about 1 or 2 poses max.

Also, I think that the dying (exploding) effect should be added when he explodes, dont'cha think?
"General Rips" gives me an Error 404, just a heads up.
Weird. Why did my- me and RTB's sheet die? o.o
(Bleh Imageshack's quality is faltering...)

How do I import a pallet into Tile Molester?
Im sorry, but i have some problems in the computer, and i can't rip the missing frame...
