Dunno if anybody's mentioned this in here somewhere but this game looks like it's going to be really fun.

i thought that said Macarena Kings at first and was really disappointed that it wasn't a game about a pair of aging latino men doing the macarena
I can't help but laugh at this. It's not even surprising, but more of an "Aaaaaand there it goes." moment. What did people who bought the console expect was going to happen? It was developed with that system in mind, it isn't going to just magically disappear XD. But it CAN magically APPEAR~
Right, my friend in Canada got Mortal Kombat (PS3) so we could play online and it turns out the online is region locked. I've heard this is more than just region 1/2/3 etc locking but separates North American from South America etc.

I can get the game from Amazon.com cheaper than from Amazon.ca but can an 'American' version of the game play against Canadians?
Steam Christmas Sale is now live and I really hope to get some cool games from it. Spec Ops the Line anyone?
So since the patch, I've been giving Sonic Lost World (Wii U) a second chance. Being able to control the Color Powers with the stick and buttons is a major improvement. I can actually control Crimson Eagle now!
But the fun didn't last long. The game is still brokenly unforgiving in some points (Insta-death bombcarts? Really?), so Lava Mountain Zone 2 I perma ragequit again.
Then came Yoshi's Island Zone. The Ultimate Life Farm! (Almost sounds like Shadow, but sadly isn't) Having all these lives was more than welcome. Now I had the courage and lives to actually T&E on some points. It takes 50-100 lives to finally understand how parcour works in its entirety. It's still a stupid system, but it's so much more satisfying actually knowing what the fuck I'm doing.

With that, I have finally cleared every level, obtained every Red Ring and cleared every Omochao request. All that's left to do is farm thousands of animals for extra RC vehicles and wait for the LoZ Zone.

Having cleared this game, two of the levels are still major offenders of the crime "being broken and unfair". The second Jungle Zone, with the searchlight that kills instantly, unlike the one from Super Mario 3D World that simply barrages you with enemies, like it should. And the second Lava Mountain Zone, for mentioned reasons. Nerf the bombcarts and searchlight with another patch and this game can be considered fixed.

I have so much more tolerance for this game now, but I'm not sure who their target audience is. Clearly too dark and unfair for kids, not Sonic enough for the diehards. The game's okay, at least after the patch before the DLC, but it's a bit of a let down. Only a hand full of levels are enjoyable enough for replaying, and I'm getting sick of playing Windy Hill Zone 1 over and over again :/

Since this sounds like a review now, I might aswell give this game a hiss out of meow.
So, another Sonic game turned out to be a letdown?

No surprises, unfortunately.
Lost World looks like it came close.....

but yeah it definitely has some glaring flaws from what i've seen
Have fun Cute

For some reason the "Down" label disappeared. Right column is down.

Man, the offering for PS4 is rather slim at the moment. I hope more and more games will get released when year 2014 starts.
The launch period has kind of sucked since the N64 (which had the last amazing YOU NEED THIS CONSOLE launch imo).

I mean the Wii only really had Wii Sports, the 360 was pretty meh with Rare putting out less than stellar games, the PS3 had Resistance (a series that only found greatness in it's final installment) and MotorStorm (which was fun but very basic). And the GBA? All the good games were ports (except KuruKuru Kurin - but I think that was JAP and PAL only).

There's pretty much no reason to buy a launch console anymore except for that awesome "Ohhh shiny and new" feeling.

Though you do have have Killzone, Assassin's Creed and Need for Speed. Only one of those is an exclusive but you still have a good FPS, a great racer and a solid adventure game. Which is a reasonably strong set of launch games if not very next-gen only.

Oh and Resogun - which is really the only game that should have made you get a PS4 at this stage.
Don't forget Battlefield 4, which is like the best FPS you can get at the moment IMO.
fuck this ps4 shit

i want the last guardian

"we're still working on it but knack is a bigger priority"

ah fuck you
Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed, and Need for Speed came out for the 360 and PS3 so they really shouldn't be counted as launch titles, though, should they? And Knack was apparently pretty mediocre. And Killzone was apparently hit or miss.
