Don't get me wrong. I don't suck at fighting games. I'm able to defeat Galactus without having to continue on Hard mode so far. It's just that Simple Mode makes it too easy to projectile spam, especially since they can do so faster than you can.
Hey RTB, do you have the 360 or PS3 version?

Also, dumb question, but how do you counter a team aerial combo?

PS3 version, but I'm not upgrading past 3.55, so no online for me... If I upgrade, I'll lose my homebrew, so I wouldn't be able to transfer files from my games (like I did for Disgaea 3), or run emulators or stuff like that. <_<;

And as for how to counter a team aerial, I think if you press the Special button the moment they do, it will be countered. I'm not entirely sure, though, as I've only managed to get it to work 1/10th of the time.

Press a direction + special at the same time, if it's pressed in the same direction as they press for their aerial combo, it'll break the combo entirely.
Thanks Tyvon.

Hey RTB, I knew they made homebrew stuff for the Wii that only updates certain aspects (Wii Shop Channel, etc). Maybe they have the same for the PS3.
Simple mode is for scrubs. One of my friends can only play the game on simple, ergo, he's a scrub.

Seriously, people who can't play fighting games should stop being a bunch of pussies and just play on normal mode. How hard is it to down-downforward-forward punch? Sure, forward-down-downforward-punch is something else, but come on, it isn't that hard. And with MvC3, you don't even need to worry about punch or kick. It's low, med or hi. Two attack buttons and you almost always have a super.

Seriously, it's not fun if you constantly get stuck in an aerial combo just because someone spams one button.

It really isn't unless you've never played a video game before. Advanced combos, sure, but MvC3's combos are hilariously easy to do, even in normal mode, and if you've ever turned more than a 45 degree angle in a 3D video game, you know how to do a qcf motion.

you'd be impressed, but it is hard for me to do a hadouken properly. it does add to that that while i am not really into figthing games therefore lacking the basic practice they require, i do enjoy playing them. simple mode certainly is made for the people who just sit for the very first time and wanted to have a change to perform some attacks whitout having to experience the mandatory training this kinds of competitive games require in order to stand a chance agaisnt more experienced players.

also, its called simple mode not only because its "simplified controls" but also because the whole moveset its extremely simple and i'm pretty sure again that for anyone with said training and experience it quickly becomes predictable.

isnt like you, someone with a vast set of options at your disposal can't overcome someone doing the exact 4 moves for 2 minutes.

the whole point is, as soon as you realise how limited simple mode is, you do encourage yourself to switch to normal amode and work on the moves on your own, in order to fully experience each character's posibilities. unless of course, you just sat there to mash buttons and see deadpool doing cool stuff.
Oh, I wasn't disagreeing with the inclusion of Simple Mode as much as I was with the Normal controls themselves. I think Simple Mode is a great idea if only becuase it gets more people into the game (and also REMOVES moves from the game).

They do sort of have stuff like that, but Sony is a lot tougher on that kinda security than Nintendo and everything except the really major exploits is usually patched within the week its released. I'm personally just hoping for a new FuckPSN (PSN security check bypasser. Yes, that's the program's real name) at the moment since I don't see a good custom firmware that will work with PSN coming out real soon.

When a good one does come out I'd love to play this online with some people, but I can't say I'm the best at it.
Does MvC3 have the option to only fight players who are using Normal mode online, like Blazblue?
I honestly have no idea if people play Simple Mode online or not because 3/4 of the people you play against online are spammers. :I
tyvon and i probably got the world's first DRAW game about an hour ago
