Spencer is surprisingly decent!
I play X-23, Felicia, and Hsien-Ko because I like fast characters
but if I couldn't pick them, I think I'd probably pick Amaterasu, Spencer, and Dante

it was her first time playing, and she was button mashing with super skrull
she beat me so many times using just him

also I know how to use most of the characters in this game fairly well, those are just the ones I usually stick with. Spencer is pretty fun to use but I wish he had more moves :C
Putting a block button in a fighting game is like putting a brake button in a racing game.
all fighting games need block buttons
holding back to block is the most counter intuitive thing

Brakes in racing games are actually really useful, especially on tight turns. Unless thats what you meant that they were useful.

I can't decide who to legitimately use in this game though. I feel attached to who I'm familiar with aka Wolverine/Spiderman/Tron but I'd like to use Dormammu and She Hulk if I could figure out how they work. I like to use a lot of different characters though who needs to be good with people not me
She Hulk is radular, I can't remember which combo, but she high kicks, does a flip and charges back at your opponent and can repeat over and over.
