Actually, saying "aimed at 7 year olds" doesn't really have that much value today.
I mean, there are a lot of older people watching Phineas and Ferb, and that show was most definitely aimed at 7 year olds. Aside from those adult references to things adults watch.

phineas and ferb is not a kids show. it has mostly kid undertones, but it is a show aimed for families, not just kids. that is why there is content in it, like most GOOD shows, that can appeal to an older audience, rather than be completely stupid and lame
shows like aaron stone are completely aimed towards kids and nothing else, and that's why those kinds of shows are completely shit and never get past two seasons
except for johnny test, which seriously needs to stop being renewed for new episodes because i don't even know kids that enjoy that steaming pile of shit
