Girl Gamers/General Fighting Game Thread

My girlfriend plays Diner Dash and Prime Suspects. Hahaha.
Then again, I'm far from hardcore.

I'm the kind of guy who would play the hell out of a game even if I suck at it.
Like, unlock everything and still suck at it.
Yeah.

Hm... Well, unfortunately, I hardly know any females who play games. I remember, my possible girlfriend-to-be had played games like Sims before, but I doubt that she liked games like Super Mario 64, etc. Luckily for my friend back where I used to live, he now has a girlfriend who really likes Zelda.

Also, I think that these games designed for girls suck (even if they are not designed for older females). The effort being made for "girls' games" could be put into making games for everyone to enjoy. Besides, if a girl who has never played video games before plays a girl's game and doesn't like it, then why would she want to try a better one?

Have a nice day.

gamer girls doesnt exist. we're all people that like to play games to a certain degree, disregard of what genitalia do we had.

Well my girlfriend is a big FPS nut so yeah...

As for games designed for girls, from what I see most girls just play really casual crap like Zoo Tycoon, Sims and that kind of thing. Not really aimed at girls but seems to be big with them.

Then again a lot of young girls seem to have the Petz games thrown in there face but I have yet to meet anyone who has played this who is over 5. And at 5, it's really your parents buying you the game, not yourself. I forget the purpose of this post...

I'm probably the only female dedicated gamer in my school. There's casuals who enjoy playing Mario Party or The Sims, but those are at the bottom of the popularity ladder and really don't go farther than that. I have noticed an increasing amount of Japanese-obsessed girls in lower classes, which I suppose is a step forward to gaming, but eh. There's this vicious cycle that associates anything remotely related to games or anime to being a loser, so people stay away from that. It's amazing how they can't see people can play games and also be cool, but okay, whatever.
Keep reading, bookworm.
Someday the words will grow off your eyeballs.
Someday you will understand what it is you feel.
The poke of reality will strike like thunders in a tea cup.

People still have that image that "If you like video-games you're a nerd. And nerds are low-lifes, just check the 80's movies!" and/or "Video-games are for children". Now add "Video-games are male-oriented stuff.", add with dumb and boring games designed for girls and it's not hard to guess why there's not many female gamers.

you're missing all the girls playing KOF, guitar hero, DDR, etc.

KoF? Never saw a casual girl playing KoF. Only Guitar Hero, DDR and those musical games. The Sims is also common but Mario is a rarity here, only at their boyfriend's house, max.

Well its a slow but surely process eventually females start doing what was once considered "male only" activities. Its happened with just about everything. Except farting... maybe.

Video games are still fairly new, its gonna take some time I guess.
