I probably came in at the wrong time, but is this any good?

Edit (a description of the changes I made):
I moved it so the center is not his head, and also edited the ears to be more bouncy and in one frame made the head go down one more pixel.

Thanks heaps Runouw, I was going to say how I recall moving the head around when I edited the running sequence, so it shouldn't have been so static. I guess when you animated it, you put the head in the same position Dils?

its still looks pretty sloppy and he has considerably less weight than the other animations, but its definitely better
I'll see what I can do about that later then. As for now, I just finished a few more sequences. You'll notice I got a bit slack in the Up Smash and midair jump, in a sense that I didn't sprite each angle individually. Instead, my idea is to utilize Runouw's ability to animate in Flash, where he can actually rotate the sprites himself. That way it looks so much smoother, too. The only problem is of course the shading, but in this case where the sprites are circling at such a fast speed, you'd barely take notice of such.

It's weird that he looks so perfect and chubby when he's standing, but when he crouches he loses 20 pounds. :/

His back needs to pop up more that's why.

Yeah actually... whoops. O.o

I think the problem is how the standing sprite's body is on an angle and the crouching one's side on. I'll try fixing that in a bit. Might take some time though, doing them all and stuff. Unsure

Yes I did. And I failed miserably.

Saying to rotate it is easy, doing it without guidelines might be harder. Embarassed You could tell him degrees or anything.

I always save my gifs so it's easy for me to change them if anythings wrong, so tell me if I'm off Cute

That's exactly how it was in my mind, thanks Dils Big Grin

Judging by what I've seen in Runouw's work, he makes single sprites roll very smoothly, I assume by using motion blur. He won't need guidelines for angles if this is the case.

EDIT:

Okay, so I made the crouch sprite two pixels fatter, and I also slightly enlarged a few other sprites I thought were a little too small:

Ugh... the flab should hang lower slightly. One more pixel, so that the back leg is hidden. Also, whats with that tail in the first frame?

Steped here to say: just rotated animation looks unnatural and ugly. It could be a provisory way, but use a full animated sheet instead of a rotated one in the end, other else we will get a SSF efect :[

In this case, it would likely only need a 45° and a 20° sprite, from which you could do simple sprite flips to reach the rest of the necessary rotations.

Sure thang, I'll get to work on that later today (busy this morning)
